Just out of curiosity: how far is D'Aquino from a call-up?

He is still a bit behind our current roster players, but being 22 that is expected :) I imagine he will be a full time NT player by the age of 24 if not sooner.

He is by far one of Canada's best up and comers.

Is there a depth chart for players for the future NT not in the U21?

There is not a depth chart per say as it would change weekly. There are a few players at each position that I am watching closely. I will try and publish something this season or at worst in the off season.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Canada improved to 4-0 with a 20 point margin of victory over Columbia.

As I am short on time I am just going to hand out a single award for this one.

Man of the Match goes to Clint Moyes. Mr. Moyes dumped in 22 points in a very efficient shooting performance. He also nabbed 6 rebounds to go along with 2 assists and 2 steals. Nice work Clint!

Now for an Argentina squad who will surely play us tough. Thining we will go with more of the same for this contest as we look to move on undefeated.

We ended up losing to Argentina in a tale of two half's. The first half was dominated by Canada but we fell apart after halftime and lost.

Regardless we are moving on as the top seed. Looks like we have been placed in a very difficult pool but we will see how we can manage.

GS has been very average to this point and a large part of the reason for our loss versus Argentina. Lets get this corrected and see how well this group can perform.

Do you think the cleanup at the beginning of the season leading to a shorter cup played a role in the lower GS? I had to "overuse" my players way sooner than usual

Meh. I don't think that is an issue....

IMO It is a result of players being completely overplayed. Several NT players played 100+ minutes in certain weeks, that's not good.

We face Venezuela today in the first of our group games. This is not a gimme by any stretch and is a bit of a trap game. With our poor GS I have called up Emery to replace Laurent in the roster. Otherwise we will be going with the best we have in hopes that we can pull off the victory.
