My player (34285702) have OD = 14 and SB = 11 and opposing SG/SFs always seems to have a lower FG% against him, although I don't have the stats to prove it.

Well you can see a big go ot and defend a 3p shot that he blocks. It happens very few times though on jumpers.
Even the game manual says it's not very effective on guards.
Shot Blocking: Will help to block shots. Not very useful for perimeter players.

Unless you like having two guards who are in the top five in the league in made 3 pointers *and* shots blocked, that is.

How much sb do your guards have? +10 quite obviously but maybe as much as 15?

Yes, 15 SB (one with 13 ID and the other with 11 ID).

Have you seen a big difference between 10 and 15sb? Just thinking about my training plan for my youngsters. Scoring is easy to find on the market but top notch defence is quite expensive.

I went back and looked at my training logs to see when they were at about 10-11 SB and the season stats had them with roughly 0.75 less SB per game or so on average. Of course at the time they were playing mostly M2M for 48 minutes one game and defending SF almost exclusively, while now they're usually defending SG and SF in a 3-2. But since I pretty much hammered the SB straight on after their U21 commitments were complete, I really don't have much of a grasp on what their SB was like at lower levels other than the 6/7 they started with.

My most interesting observations regarding 3-2 zone:
- Opponent perimeter players sometimes grab a lot offensive rebounds although I have decent rebounders on PF and C. They seem to get matched against a perimeter defender of mine for rebounds.
- WHEN perimeter players grab an offensive rebound, they often attempt the direct tip-in or put-back. They rarely get matched up against my inside defenders when this happens. Thus, they usually score on these attempts. This is really frustrating because I have two very good inside defenders which do not defend here.

I play 3-2 zone since a long time with some success (3 championship title and right now my world rank is 5). I've got also the feeling that RB is a nice skill to have for at least one of your outside player.

My SF has got 13 in RB and he takes smthg like 8 reb. per game with 2 offensive one and he's always playing outside on a 3-2 zone. I'm consindering him as my key player, too bad he's got already 33 years, now I struggle to find another one like him...

I have some different question but I don't want to make a new talk.
I know that my opponent in the next match will play inside box and one defense. What offense will be the best against it? I have balanced and better team than him and I would like to play LI. But won't his defense stop my PF/C?
