T41 - European

In the first phase of the European we have fallen into a somewhat difficult group.

Analyzing our rivals:

France (11): Has won the 2 matches. One very competed against us and another against Azerbaycan. It is the favorite of the group and already won to Spain in the previous friendly.

Schweiz (28): 2 victories against the weakest of the group, Azerbaycan and Luxemburg. In principle it should pass the first round, although we hope to play a good role against it.

Bosna i Herzegovina (35): Also with 2 wins, Bosna has played against Andorra and us. It cost him to beat Andorra and he suffered against Belarus. One of the favorites along with Schweiz to go round.

Latvija (46): The fourth team with 2 wins, Luxemburg and Andorra. He has won his matches with solvency and is our next rival. We hope to do a lot against them.

Andorra (75): Lost to Bosnia and Latvija. And now Schweiz awaits you.

Belarus (85): We played a great game against France that we were close to winning and a second against Bosna that bad luck made us lose. I think that against Latvija we can play a great role.

Azerbaycan (88): Lost against the 2 strongest rivals, France and Schweiz. We hope that this selection comes to us.

Luxemburg (91): Could not with Latvija or with Schweiz. It's difficult to win, but not impossible.

Putting things like this we have 4 teams with 2 wins and 4 with 2 losses, which opens a very big gap. The classification is being defined but I think there is time to change things, calendar issues.

I think that in this European we can get 4 victories if we compete well. Our objective is not other than to go up to Belarus in the ranking.

Bosna i Hercegovina Vs Belarus 119 - 104 ((44872))

After some changes in the lineup Belarus started the game confident to win but a partial of 12-5 in the first minutes made us wake up and after a timeout we endorsed Bosna a 4-12 with what we put in front with a 16-17.The quarter was even though we got advantages of 6 points for many minutes. The first quarter fell on our side by 29-34.

The second quarter changed the dynamics and after many alternations in the score Bosna achieved its maximum difference, 5 points, the fourth favoring the Bosnians with a 63-61 final of the first part.

The score was tied for a long time with an advantage not higher than 5 points by Bosna. The third period was very even and although Bosna was always up, Belarus was a long time to a point. 88-83.

From the fourth period Bosna got an unbridgeable 7-point lead. They expanded to 9 for a long time and then to 11 to finish with a 119-104 that does not reflect the reality of the game.

Belarus against Latvija 96 - 114 (44874)

Third game of the first phase, we face Latvija (46). We go out for all, hence the greatest effort. To lose was to be eliminated and sadly it has been like that. Latvija has been superior.

It cost us to get into the game. Latvija started strong and soon got 4 points up. Advantage that we get to reduce to 1 point. After that Latvija endorses a partial 10 - 0 after which we asked for time out. There was no reaction and we finished the fourth 19 - 27.

Latvija got his maximum lead of 11 points after the first period. But we did not give up and we got to be 42 - 44 with 3 minutes to rest. Advantage with which we went to the locker room after a Zyranau buzzerbeater: 45 - 52. This room we won by 4 difference.

The second half started fatal for us. Latvija makes us 9 - 0 to get away on the scoreboard. We never got close and had 14 points maximum advantage several times during the quarter. Complicated for us that we ended up with a result of 70 - 83.

The final period was totally of Latvija with advantages of 20 points to finish with 96 - 114.

In the end, painful defeat in a game that we expected something more. We have to keep working and wait for our opportunities. Latvija has been a great rival, very hard. Now we must move on.

Обычно тренера говорят: "Соревнованиях такого уровня не бывает слабых соперников и проходных игр", чтобы потом если проиграют не так стыдно было )))
