"When you are fighting for #1 (no matter club or NT) I think it`s definitely worth it".

I doubt a lot that spending about 20M for lvl 7 coaches throughout the whole training period is worth it. To make that statement true, you have to reach a 170-skilled #1, I guess

Of course you do, you are a jew! ;)

When it comes to NT money is no thing imo. I regularly buy heavily overpriced Bulgarians just to "save" them because we have very little to work with. Guess what lvl coach I`m training them with. Sure it`s economically inefficient, no doubt about that, but I`ve come to a point where I really want to see my NT improve, no matter the cost.

From the club perspective - you don`t necessarily have to spend 20M.

On one hand, in the last several seasons of training (say when they hit 25) you don`t need that lvl 7 coach any more because the bonus that he`ll give you is less than a skill point till the end of training.

On the other hand if you`re smart and patient enough you will sooner or later get a deal. A while ago I bought my lvl 7, 8k salary coach (yeah, they come up sometimes) for 3,5 million. This coach has cost me a little less than 3,3 million in salary for the 7 seasons that I used him. This makes less than 7 million total cost.

Now assuming the alternative would be a lvl 5 coach that would still cost you at least 2,5 - 3 million for the same period we have a 4 million difference. Divided on 3 players (although for at least half the time you are training 6 if you want to be efficient) that`s an additional 1.33 million in training costs per player. To me it is a fair price for 5-6 additional pops.

*and no, I couldn`t get to 170, the best I had was 153! ;)

A level 7 trainer with 8K salary for 3.5million???? That's the steal of the century! I've never even seen a level 7 with below $20k salary. If that unicorn popped up on the market now, I'm guessing he'd go for 20+ million.

Yup, lucky bastard I'd even pay 5M with all my jewish identity

Anyway, interesting approach. Just to keep a coach for so long, it may be worth it.

5M or even 10M for 3 players definitely worth it. As mentioned before, the early stages are the ones who make a difference. There is no point in holding lvl7 coach at the age of 26-27, I guess. So maybe this is a reason of such prices.
