i think substitutions should occur in the 1st quarter if not before halftime.

Tell your guys to foul more.

I wanted some subs coming in myself.

And apologies to you, but I had a brain fart on sending orders for that game, and didn't use the lineup or enthusiasm I wanted. There's a good chance you could've beaten me had I chosen the orders I wanted.

what a damn shame -- i wonder how much effect the neutral court had on matters. certainly the refs cut you no slack, although i am guessing a number of those fouls came in the last minute or so.

for myself, i see more evidence of why i hate the 1-3-1, or even any zone: your opponent found the holes, which apparently was spelled G-I-L-L-I-A-M.

I think that I would agree with Hassan, Saul. It would be interesting to see the results of that game had you played man or a 3-2. It seems that the possible benefits of a 1-3-1 are far outweighed by its drawbacks...Regardless, great Cup runs by our two league representatives: Saul and DJ. Congratulations! And congrats also to several other league teams for their fine tourney strings!

Kind of a strange game: (38996871). I have to say, I'm a little surprised...I really didn't think I'd have any problems winning this game. Given the ratings, I still think I should have won. I guess I should have went with Playoff CT. Oh well, it was a fun run...

Sucks you didn't pull this out, because your game was one of the only two this week worth watching. I agree with Pappy, a 3-2 or M2M there might have been interesting. And how could you not POCT? It feels like a normal and tastes like Christmas!

I've had success with a 1-3-1 against outside oriented teams, as long as their rebounding isn't too strong. The extremely high OD ratings normally shuts them down for me.

Worked like a charm against me in league play. (For our 3 PL matchups, however, I've bent you over and had my way with you.) Of note, though: my rebounding sucks the proverbial donkey scrotum.
