The sunk cost fallacy is like the old cliche "throwing good maney after bad". So in BB terms it includes things I have done like:

"Well I spent a season already training him so I may as well continue with him." - wrong, if he is crap cut him loose and get someone who is not. Your training slots are gold, value them.

"I spent a fortune on that player I'm not going to sell him until his TPE comes back up." It may never do. Especially if he is geting old. If your team has outgrown your player take a good look at him. If he was on the TL would you be interested in buying him? Not a chance! Then sell. Try at a fair price but if needed list him at midnight on a saturday, tuesday or wednesday night for $1.

"My roster can't win but if I keep it we might be able to make 3rd." What is the point of that? Your aim is to win. If you have a chance to win, even a small chance you should go for it. If not keep a small but efficient roster, win the games you can but save and train for next season. The perfect example in this league is the Mad Rangas. There are about 4 or 5 teams that should be spending because they have a chance to win, the rest should follow the Rangas' lead.

btw yoda just interested on who you think these 4 teams are from an outsider perspective?

well ASW is almost upon us, i figure it will be a bit of fun if we post who we think should be the All-Star teams this season

had to mae some hard decisons but there you go. going by the stats and the seasons they have had so far that would be my Big 8 all-star team. Some very good players missing out on suiting up but what can you do

This is a great post Yoda.. Exactly where i was at the end of last sesaon... Was definitely throwing away good money.. now i have the lowest salary in the league, and making a tidy profit every week, and my sole focus is to avoid relegation.. the fact i am challenging for PO's at the moment is unbelievable, but dont expect to be there come seasons end.

some fantastic games tonite! no upsets and 3 teams stay in the race for 4th in the blue... a nice POINTS diff nite for the plebs should help them win that race.
Game of the day : Beasts vs ACT, was close all game until the beasts pulled away in the 4th

For the Dreamers, we see Sammydog as a potential relegation battle opponent.. Indarto shut down Chan completely, it was only after he was injured Chan became somewhat effective and led us to the W.

training stam this week, so minutes not important
