I'd take Irving as a PG and put Rose at SG imo

one problem then becomes who defends an opponents taller guard? Irving is listed at 6'3" and only 191 pounds, Rose at 6'3" 190. Aside from the fact there is no way Rose is that tall, who would guard Kobe (6'6"), etc inside?

That's exactly my thinking...

Two scoring small guards just doesnt cut it in the NBA especially when they are commanding around 35+ mins per game. Thats a lot of defensive mismatches. If two PG's were on the floor to change the tempo of the game then sure.. but not for the entire game.Remember Monta Ellis and Stephen Curry in Golden State? Just did not work especially when it comes to the PO.

Milwaukee Bucks arent doing so bad atm with Monta Ellis and Brandon Jennings, but come playoffs they will struggle defensively, even with a blocking beast in Larry Sanders in the lane.

Cavs have a good thing going on atm. Young guys in Irving, Tristian Thompson and Dion Waiters to build on. Plenty of cap and support players in Maurice Speights, Verejao and CJ Miles? And most important, a good coach in Byron Scott. Remember New Orleans with CP3 and David West? Thats what the Cavs can become with Irving and Thompson developing into stars with Waiters becoming a Marcus Thornton type player. Add in a few first round picks like Darren Collison and its the old New Orleans team again LOL

John Wall will never be a great PG. He still hasn't developed a jumper and lacks the leadership skills of someone like Rondo.

He's just a supreme athlete, which is way overrated in the NBA.

He's pretty much Tyreke Evans without the size and handles.

Not way overrated, you cant teach a great basketballer to become a supreme athlete but you can teach a supreme athlete whos a good player to become a great player, although Javele McGee does make me wonder.

That would be interesting! What would the rotation look like with the Grizz though, they seem to have gotten rid of all there key bench players - only pondexter remains...

Darrell Arthur has been taking Speights minutes in teh last month so i guess that's why they felt comfortable moving him. Basically the bench is him, Poindexter, Bayless and then i guess who ever they add. Wroten might get a few more minutes as well and maybe Hadaddi gets some more burn as well.

Darrell Arthur had a big game today against the Lakers. 20 points and 9 rebounds off the bench.

Lakers need to win every single game now to get a good position the playoffs. Even if they make the playoffs, they will facing either OKC, San Antonio, LA Clippers or Memphis in a 7 game series.

I think it had more to do with the fact that Gay, Randolph, Gasol and Conley are taking up most of the salary cap. I read that the new owner wasnt happy going over the the luxury tax threshold and this trade saved them something like 6 mil and kept them under. It gives a guy like Inngles a great chance at making it cos hes gonna come cheap and he can fill a role same with free agents like Bill Walker and Sasha Vujacic. It was either do this or move Rudy Gay.
