Game 21 recaps
NP at Phakeouts
Beckman was at it again draining 33 points for NP but Davis paced him with 31 for the Phakeout crowd. As the season goes we are seeing how important the supporting cast is for these teams and it appears the NP team has bought into it full fledge. Four other NP players were in double diigits and even though the Phakeouts put their hearts into this one it was not enough in the end. NP 110 Phakeouts 99
Blasters at Bobcats
Blasters may be saving some for the playoffs but Bobcats are scratching for any wins they can get at the moment. The Bobcats big man Christie had 33 points for the cats and an overall good game for the Cats put this one away for good early in the fourth. Bobcats 116 Blasters 97
Crank Dat at Allstars
Each team came to this one playing to their offensive strengths. The Boys were runnin and gunnin and the Allstars were pounding down low. Ilkka came alive in this one and netted 36 on the Allstars but wait if that wasn't enough his teammate Abrach drained 35. When you have two players scoring over 30 in a game you typically win.....................unless your the Miami Heat. :) Freitas and company did what they could to keep up but the damage was done. Not enough defense on the Crank Dat shooters spelled defeat tonight. Crank Dat 114 Allstars 102
Prov City at Challengers
Both teams were pushin it tonight making it look like the Harlem Globetrotters playing the Harlem Globetrotters. A whole lot of show. Challengers pulled out the Iso defense on Carmona and I guess it worked............they kept him under 30 points. Perhaps the Inside Iso defense would have been a good call for Prov City because Skalec woke up again tonight and pounded in 34 points and 23 boards. This one may have come down to coaching and tactics but then again Prov City was outrebounded by 20 and that never helps. Challengers 107 Prov City 94
Tachenko at VD's
VD's went slow on this one hoping to slow down the Tachenko big men. It worked nobody had over 20 points or boards for Tachenko which is highly unusual. Problem..............it slowed down Benson as well and kept him under 30 and made the rest of his team anemic. Even with the slow tempo Tachenko put 5 in double digits. Tachenko 87 VD's 70
Dutchmen at Champaign
The Dutchmen put on a show for Champaigns crowd. Ahhh I guess we call vendors and a few die hard season ticket holders fans now. Dutchmen added some much needed points to his differential and helped his playoff cause. Dutchmen 116 Champaign 38
Flames at Terrors
The Flames are still trying to turn this one around. It appears they will attempt to do that in relegation considering Champagn is officially DOA. Terrors put together a strong game and Kramarski was brilliant with 27 points. Kramarski had help with 5 other of his teammates getting double digits. This was enough to fight off the Flames. Terrors 114 Flames 80
Phantoms at Crazy's
Well both teams took a little off of this one and more then one Crazy's fan was not happy when the coach sat Barry and Marmolejo and started the second string. Unsure if the coach is ticked at recent play or just giving his players a rest the coach was in no mood to elloborate. Phantoms played well as usual putting the Crazy's away early in the third and never looking back. Backhouse was the only bright spot in the Crazy's lineup tonight draining 25 points and snagging 25 boards. Too much scoring on the Phantoms side . "They are who we thought they were" said Coach Mac after the game. Phantoms 96 Crazy's 57
