Are you serious? You think Hakeem Olaijuwon could only be twice as good an inside scorer as Evans? And I'm not even bringing Wilt Chamberlain into the picture. I think your scaling is the problem. Evans can't be rated 10 on a 20 pt scale that features top inside scorers. Where would a Vlade Divac be? If you start Evans off at 10 do you understand the serious problem you have fitting in a whole range of talented big men?

You can rate Evans 10 out of 50 maybe, but setting him as the average? He's definitely below par on the offensive end but above par on the defensive end, and his role on NBA teams reflects that. An ID of 13 and IS of 7 (being kind) might be appropriate, and that's the kind of role player that I'm talking about in this game. I just would like it if such players were allowed to maintain some respectability when it comes to offense. Shooting 35% just makes the whole thing ridiculous.

slight difference could make a big impact, and they aren't unskilled in he NBA but the extra bit help you a lot.

So i won't say they they are double that good - because they are all excellent athletes in the NBA and maybe a few of them are superior which is far away from double that good ;)

Yet a lot of young (and not yet experienced) players try to prove themselves despite lacking the ability. The system works perfectly as it is.

Funny thing I've noticed about dogs and cats and other lower consciousness animals, if you point your finger at something they just look at your finger, not what you're pointing at. And then they look at your face and bark or mew or whatever noise their (relatively) unevolved brain has been conditioned to produce.

I've told a few people that and they thought it was funny. Don't you? I mean I could be pointing at food. More savoury than what they have on their plate. But no. They just don't get it.

This is a suggestions forum so I thought I'd make one that I would like to see implemented. There is clearly a difference between how real players play and players in this game play, especially role players, and I was just hoping that it might be looked at by those who've created this great game.

That's it. I'm not going to waste any more time arguing.

ill put my opinion in using the Reggie Evans example as a rebounding specialist on the toronto raptors.

I understand your frustration that you have players that you dont want shooting the ball, taking shots, and it would help if we were able to submit offensive options (#1 being your best scorer - #5 being your reggie evans) but because we cant, we would have to find ways to work around it.

This season on the raptors, reggie was given a primary role as a rebounder, and was completly kicked out on the offense. though making the raptors play 4 on 5 on the offensive end, there offensive game was styled in a way that reggie was not needed. Passing to the perimeter and driving/ shooting. Reggie even would come out to the elbow of the paint to wait for the shot, or to give the driver some space. and then crash the boards.

I know you dont want to argue, but it just seems like you need to take into account that you have a bad offensive player and you need to structure your team in order to play without them. experience and passing would all play a role in this, tactic would help too. and even reggie evans has taken quite a few late shot clock shots. The player usually would if they are wide open.

Maybe it's time to close the thread.
Suggestion has been discussed and it seems that it will end in a bad way, so it's better to end now with it
