I've never heard any other managers complaining because of the lack of income.
There are good times but also bad times. Life is never fair, deal with it.

Hey pal... without any offense, but you are playing this game only few months. You cant even know what was 3, 5 or 10 seasons ago =.=

One of your points is that in the past the players had more values and could sold for much more than today. Well I understand that it is stressful because overall you're losing a lot of money. But then what can you do??? Everybody is under the same circumstances. You cannot simply blame BB for that. You just have to accept that fact and deal with it. If it's only you who're in this circumstances, that's a different story, but know that everybody is in the same situation.

This game is all strategy. The more time you invest, the better the rewards.

Hmmm, not always. Often times your strategy can get smacked down by ......ahem......changes to the game. Damn glad I didnt train much rebounding with the new changes

The staff of BB are just regular dudes and are bound to make mistakes. If you notice one, alert them. Don't berate them. If we keep those clowns (I am looking at you juiced) happy, they will feel motivated to work harder and smarter. Throwing tomatoes does not make a comedian funnier.

No, but throwing tomatoes at an unfunny comedian makes you feel like at least you got some of your investment back.

My question is- isnt there a test server that they put changes on first to see if they work? How did the team rebounding and double double announcement get so screwed up? You guys arent just writing code and praying.......are you? Havent they been working on this in scrims all last season? If you test it and it works, it should work right? If you test it and it doesnt work, why do you add it in? (cocking back a tomato, waiting for answer)

I say get rid of free agents...They are a spawning ground for Farm Teams. People start a second team on a computer at a Internet cafe...they then in turn buy a decent player with good OD and still young. Then they put the training on OD 1 position and then stick that player in at PG on a default line up. After 6 or 7 weeks of training this team goes bot and the player hits the Free agent market where team A saves his money just for this day. He then gets a PG with Wondrous OD(up from prolific). The reason why I know this is...someone told me about a player and that this is what he did. I was going to report this team but how could I prove anything...I say just get rid of free agents and you will cut this type of cheating out and it will make training players profitable again......also stop some Day traders..

I don't see how this would stop cheating at all. Using your scenario, the manager could just go back to the internet cafe after 7 weeks and list the trainee for 1k. Stopping free agents would not make any difference to the cheating.

I'm going to go against the grain of almost everyone in some ways and a few in other ways.

What no one has come to realise is that, firstly, Ozzy, the troubles you're having are not limited to you. If you have this problem, EVERYONE has this problem. Therefore, at this point in time, the answer is simply that you, and others in your position, are not dealing well with the strategies needed to be successful in this game.

This leads me to my next point: "the strategies needed to be successful in this game". Everyone knows that the following is from the home page of BB:

"BuzzerBeater is an online basketball simulation game that pits you against other managers across the planet. Play head-to- head against other challengers, employing strategic game play and statistical analysis."

Please let it be clear that I enjoy the game as it is. However, I would enjoy it a lot more if it more closely followed how it is advertised. A small part of the success of the game comes from basketball analysis. The largest influence of success is learning and utilising the trading system, and to a smaller degree the training system. This is not basketball management simulation.

When I first started playing this game, I sat for literally hours and scoured all the statistics from all of my competitors, read about the strategies in the game rules and forums, and changed tactics over and over again. This is what I thought the game was about.

Now, I sit on the TL and wait for crazy deals to jump out and anxiously await for the Friday update to observe the pops my trainees have achieved (which I then strategise about where they need to be trained further and how much they might be able to fetch on the TL). In fact, one of the only reasons I got supporter was so that I could use the bookmarking function.

This is not basketball management simulation. Don't get me wrong, it's an enjoyable game, but it would be so much more enjoyable if the product did what it said on the packet.

Thanks Axis...That was a great post and is what I think. I used to spend my time scouting my opponent and now I am doing the same thing looking at the TL. This game needs more Basketball and less market watching..
