hmm what you mean it looks like Iwen likes the Great Wall?
he's in the roster but not in the starting 12. he's minimum 2 pops away from getting a run apparently.

Like a lot of you I have no idea what I am doing. The Beasts were stronger than me last season and both them and ACT have pulled further ahead.

Out with the old. Hainbush, Hutchin, Alarcon, Creek and some draftees are out. That is 2 starters, 1 backup and 1 deep bench gone and nearly $70,000 a week saved. Over 14 weeks I hope that will make a difference to my overall finances even if I will be a little thin on roster for a while.

Draft was terrible, well done Beasts! I actually spent $10,000 a week and got rubbish. Here have a laugh.

He was a 4 ball 6'0" 18 year old and my first preference, sounded good at the time. Awful JS and mediocre OD. Bleh!

My 9th pick was a 4 ball 18 year old C. Also pathetic.

Total garbage but 3rd pick always is, I may keep him for a cheap scrimmager. I feel like investing $0 in the draft but if I still am 50-50 on tanking the season need to keep my options open.

Welcome all new people.

Let's try again...

Hi all,

I'm Mick and I’m new to Div III as you're all aware, promoted albeit without a cup to show for it.. Let's just say I'll remember to set my default lineup as my best possible team before any crucial finals series in the future!!! That hurt to say the least!

I'm a keen fantasy player of all sorts of sports, in particular Aussie Rules but would really like to get to know BB better, correct training methods, stadium capacity, etc. is there anyone who can point me in the right direction, perhaps a program or a forum where I can spend atleast a week or two dissecting all the information required to be competitive in this game? I don't like to just be a spectactor ;)

I understand that minutes played has some sort of correlation with training effeciency but I'm a bit vague on all the details. If someone would like to dissect my team I'd be more than happy to put up individual ratings etc. for who I'd consider my better players..

Thanks for listening guys :)

hey stazza/mick

we will probs just call you stazza if thats alrite.

aussie rules nice... is this dreamteam/supercoach?

ask whatever questions you like mate and im sure some of us more experienced can help you.

first thing i see is that yo have too many people on your roster... i would cut it down to at most 15

if you have any money i recommend you buy 3 18 yo's all around the same height and at least all-star potential. if you dont have the funds. you could probably train Chantrey, Vien, Gillespie.

personally i dont know what other think but i would fire:
Chalmers - too old, no good.
Beardsall - he is rubbish - you cant try sell but you will get very very little.
McKenzie - rubbish and older that Beardsall

up to you with all that but if you hope to stay up you will need alot of luck or money. your arena is small.

so depending on whether you want to go back down and get back up after doing some training and some arena building to be in a better foundation for competing in div 3 is a decision you need to make.

if you decide to train...

ideally for 1 position training you want to play the three players you are training a full game each at the training position of your choice so they get the full 48 mins training.

if you do 2 position training which is slower but you can train 6 players, for example pg/sg Pressure training you will be able to train 2 players at pg and sg for both league games and also the scrimmages.

(144856.1)

that is a good guide to help you.

but feel free to ask questions

oh and good luck on your first game. regrettably it is against me and i will try not to pump you by too much

Hey mate,

There is a wealth of knowledge in this forum alone so you have landed yourself in a good Div

Basically ask your questions away and we are more than happy to help you out.

In Div III the top guys can fill out 10K capacity stadium, you will want to look to upgrading that quick smart. In terms of minutes 48 mins is the minimum to get full training for a week (bar the team training options), and to keep you guys at optimal game shape each week you want them to be getting 60-88 mins per week. Anymore than that can cause drops in game shape.

Important Notes
1. ALL TRAINEES MUST GET 48 MINS PER WEEK FOR FULL TRAINING
2. UPGRADE YOU ARENA TO A MINIMUM OF 9K (upgrade more later)

There is alot more information but this is the basics from your opening post
