it is stupid to get anything but 1st place while paying anything more than the salary floor...this is an income structure problem. You can't hardly stay even when in 2nd~ place...in 1st place you are making about 20% more each week (or more) than the guy right behind you. This is why tanking is so prevelant IMO.

If this was true, than the same teams would win leagues every year. I don't think it's always that tankers win leagues. Maybe sometimes, but they need to tank for a long time for that.

I see you won your league in season 20, why haven't you continued winning? Don't tell me tankers acquired some players from farm teams in micronations LOL

I'll suggest something and it lightly touches the debate on cheating.

I tried to suggest that a NT player could be called up only if he is playing for D.I team. A NT player is generally not affordable by D.II or lower anyway, unless it's a SF. However, a D.I leaguer can avoid this rule if his brother/father/friend makes an account ad trains a player up to desirable skillpoint sum. You would say that it's forbidden to buy players from that team! This is easily avoidable:

His brother/father/friend doesn't log into that account anymore, thus making the team go bot and the trainee is put on free agent list, where the D.I leaguer can buy him.

He basically cheated legally. That's why I think NT players should be from D.I teams only AND free agents should be removed (or at least a player can't join NT if he's been a free agent even once in his "life"). You would at least put some legitimacy into NT program. As it is, we all know a lot of players in best NTs were not being trained the "right way". GMs know this also, but can't do anything about it. It's up to BBs to make some changes or remove NT altogether. As it is right now, NT is becoming a farce.

This whole debate around NTs makes NT seem sooooooo important. But they really aren't. They are a nice bonus for some managers, who coach NTs or train players for the NT. Most of the games are being played between regular users and teams. You're totally exaggerating the importance of NTs for Buzzerbeater. (Some happens to BBB...)

I know NT is important to maybe 5% of BB population, but that's not an excuse to make it go haywire now, is it? If it's not that important, why don't we cancel NT altogether?

NT are very important, bro. Where's your pride for your country?
Also NT is the highest level of play. There's a considerable amount of significance in that.

Not dis agreeing or anything Just playing devils advocate here, but doesn't this hinder free market.

If a team needs 2x the salary to afford a player then a top need 4 times th salary. This would hinder free market. If small ball club want to play behind 1 man and has everyone else cheap how does that hurt the game. IT stillleads the ones with the money can be successful and one with out have to scramble.

A lot talk about training and etc but some want quick results. So how it fair to lock them into training. with low salary players.
