i love the way life works --

i read your note and think HaHa, thank God i'm not that dumb and go on my merry way.

and i will be damned if i then don't do the same thing -- now i have this useless player literally way out of his league.

he'll play tonight, taking the place of a Lucky Fan, but after that . . . i hate to see his life come to an end because of a mistake i made, but he costs too much to only be handing out towels during timeouts.

13 days from now will be my 4 year anniversary playing this game...and for the first time in my career I forgot to set my lineup for a game :-( In a cup game, vs. a bot team no less....This might just be my exit cue....

Wow man that is sadness As someone who spent the last two seasons tanking I feel your pain... it's not like you're gonna pay attention to the league games.

At this point it's all about the pops. Utopia has rekindled my interest a bit because of training. But it's weird, I don't really have a desire to train on my USA team. That doesn't make sense, but it is what it is.

not my intention to cast aspersions on you -- in fact, that was really what i was getting at.

it has been one of my life's great lessons that as soon as i think i am better than somebody else, something happens to slap that silly notion out of my head.

your post was a great warning: "take care about signing on". i thought to myself, yeah, i know that.

and then make the same mistake. truly, who is dumb?

that is why i will not be making any fun of Jason's mistake.

fwiw, you did provide us with a glimpse of the relative value of a team of Lucky Fans vs. the scrubs on a DV computer-managed squad. Those Fans can rebound, but can't shoot FTs and they turn the ball over.

and you didn't hurt anyone's training.

Just blame it on Utopia, Jason. I find myself spending 99.9% on my Utopia team and often forget that I have a second team here in the NBBA.

There was a rumor floating around the Arizona practice court this week. it was alleged that after some very rigorous free throw training most of the players stayed behind after the coaches left the practice court and had some fun challenging each other to dunk from the free throw line. Apparently its true because our 35 year old Center had a bonus inside shot pop.
