France has 11 of 17 players in GS 9.
We have 6 and again, both centers out due to GS.

Perhaps our chance at a best ever finish at worlds is slipping away. Don't know how many more rabbits I have in my hat.

Sorry about Edwards GS. The starter in front of him was injured in the first quarter of the scrimmage. He still managed GS 8.

Edwards far from a problem! He has overperformed all season.

Versus France in 3 hours. I'll be on game chat as usual.

Pretty tough looking matchup. Perhaps better to hope for better GS soon and go after the other two 1-2 teams we will play?

2-2 this round best case scenario MAYBE will get us into a semi, but any wins in this group are a bonus for this scrappy group.

Down 5 with a minute to go here.
Very disappointed and frustrated watching this one.

Waaaaaaaay too many fouls. 30 free throws to 8. LOL thx GE!
And so many steals for them when we're on offense. It's almost comical except I'm not laughing.

edit: In addition, if I have to watch them miss the 2nd free throw and get the offensive rebound one more time I'm gonna puke.

When/If a new GE is coded, this factor has to be reduced significantly. It's ridiculous.

France beat Taiwan so even with a win we were out anyway.

Only pride at stake next week vs China to finish out the season.

Thanks but not good enough for me!

In hindsight, we were fortunate to get the wins we did in the first group. Having our best 2 centers capped by potential and in poor GS most of the season hindered us greatly.

Doing what I can.

Really looking forward to what next season's team can do.

Today we play for pride vs China. They have some huge DMI advantages on us, but I'm not giving up.

Crunch and a patient with our SG with high JR, DR, and ok IS at C. Their C already has 4 fouls in the 1st quarter with 4 minutes left. If we can get rid of him that hurts their offense.

Guessed right on 1/1 GDP. In chat as usual.

1 0:03 24 — 26 M. Chucheng (H) bullies his way to the basket for a tough inside shot under pressure from S. McEntee (A). Shot missed.
1 0:03 24 — 26 P. Cunhai (H) boxes out his man and snags the offensive rebound.
1 0:01 24 — 26 P. Cunhai (H) reaches up and tries to tip it in with B. Metzger (A) right in his face. Shot missed.
1 0:01 24 — 26 P. Cunhai (H) can't buy a bucket!
1 0:01 24 — 26 A. Rudolph (A) ends the possession with a defensive rebound.
1 0:00 27 — 26 S. McEntee (A) offers up a prayer from half-court, guarded closely by M. Chucheng (H). Scored.
1 0:00 27 — 26 A buzzerbeater for S. McEntee (A)!

1 0:00 27 — 26 End of period.

Muahahahahahaha finally one for us!

Another game that could have gone our way but didn't (add it to the list.)
A 3 point lead late and couldn't hold on, and a 4 point loss to China (40688)

But seriously, if a BB is reading this, this shit has to stop:

4 0:12 75 — 77 Free throw missed by P. Cunhai (H).
4 0:12 75 — 77 Y. Beiguo (A) tries to grab the defensive rebound, but the ball goes out of bounds.
4 0:10 75 — 77 Foul called on G. McNamara (A).
4 0:10 75 — 77 Free throw missed by J. Wenming (H).
4 0:10 75 — 77 Free throw missed by J. Wenming (H).
4 0:10 75 — 77 K. Feixiang (H) cleans the offensive glass.
4 0:10 75 — 77 K. Feixiang (H) now has a double double.
4 0:08 75 — 77 K. Feixiang (H) collects the rebound and goes back up for the shot, guarded closely by Y. Beiguo (A). Shot missed.
4 0:08 75 — 77 There's a scramble for the ball, and both players look to the ref, who rules in favor of China

The defensive team not getting a rebound after a missed free throw is an anomaly in a basketball game, not a frequent occurrence. Twice in this group it didn't cost us the game, but it prevented us from a shot at tying it. I saw it happen again at least 3 times during this game.

Also annoying, their starting center, 38K, GS9, 1,231,600 DMI fouls out because he can't guard McEntee's jumpers at C.
Now, their backup game comes in, plays the rest of the game, and McEntee has trouble scoring. The backups stats? 36K, GS7, 242,000 DMI. ?????????????????????? Also, he is 7'5 (!!!) so he can't exactly have awesome secondaries or OD. And, he doesn't fade in the 4th quarter after playing straight through the entire 2nd half?

I'd love to know his stats.

Vent session over! Time to update trainees before the draft!
