Thank you ! This has been possible because of the great players and good shapes we have. So I want to thank the bulgarian managers for their involvment, I hope they enjoy our results as well and will keep training for U21/NT ! And maybe more will join us, I already see you have some nice prospects :)

About next game, it won't be easy at all. The purpose of this tournament is to get the HCA for next season's continental tournament. For us europeans, there is no choice but to win the consolation tournament. On the other side Chile seem to have ensured its HCA considering there's only Dominican Republic left and they should 100% lose in Germany.
So... What will they do ? Will they try to go as far as possible in this tournament in order to gain world ranking, xp, etc. or will they simply go full enthusiasm against us and then give away any chance in the next round ?
Not having HCA next monday (for only one point... damnit) will really hurt us to be honest.

But I'm not giving up ;)

Thank you guys ! It was a relief to see Chile play LI.
Indeed next game we will face the favorites of the tournament... I hope our best players will have better game shapes next week. That is mandatory if we want to hope for something :)

I told you after last game that I had to shoot the ball better and I guess you can say I keeped my word. In fact, Rüzgar Nehir made it easier for all of us as he was on fire in the first qt. The Chilians had to adapt and it then gave us much more space to punish them.
We knew it would be a tough game playing in Chile, that's why we came well prepared and expected them to play inside offense. Even if the score remained tight, we took the lead in the first minute and never left it !
Next monday, we'll play in Slovenia. I heard they have a great team, in fact there's not much doubt about it considering they ended at the first place of the first round. I can't wait to face them !"

"This is the end...
I gave my best to help us win the tournament, but we faced a team which seemed quite unbeatable.
Did I make tactic mistakes ? Probably, but my 2-3 was there to help us get rebounds and to reinforce our inside defense given how strong and in good shape their big guys were. And it worked, we got way more offensive rebounds than them, and they didn't shot that well with 43% in total, only 22% from downtown and not that many free throws.
On the offense, I used our most efficient tactic with a look inside and I was quite confident that it could work against their 3-2. But it didn't. I don't understand how we could score less than 32% of our FG attempts... I still think we could have gotten more free throws, but they were at home, and we all know how it works... I don't think playing with three big guys was a mistake either, they helped us get many rebounds and were by far our best scorers.
All in all, I think my biggest mistake was against Turkey. With a 8-0 record, we would have face other countries and maybe things would have been better for us.
So... How you might have understood, this elimination is a huge disappointment. Even more because I love this team and I can't say how proud I am of my players. They gave their best all season long and they managed to beat some of the best european teams. I feel like they deserved better and I'm sad I couldn't help them get the title.
It was a great generation and I can't wait to see how they will progress in the future."

If you want to sell your players, I can let them have the U21 flag until this weekend so that you can hope for a little selling boost.
But then I will only play with 19-20yo players for the last scrimmages of the season.

By the end of the week, I will post a recap of the season.
Do not hesitate to ask me anything about how I managed the team (roster, tactics, enthusiasm...) this season and how I could have done better. Even if that is a public forum, I have nothing to hide since we're now eliminated.
