Agreed, most 18 year olds are now worthless. The market is flooded with 70+ TSP 19 year olds, plus they can start with 9-10 in difficult to train skills (e.g IS/ID for a guard, OD for a big).

Statements of this kind...Do i know anything about BB? Maybe i know nothing about players and players development in BB.

No, I take part in building the best players in the world for Israeli teams and for the Israeli NT.

I did say most. Yes if you are trying to train an elite player to play in B3 ten seasons from now then you are likely going to want one of the handful of 18 year old 50+ TSP HOF guys. Maybe a handful of high TSP players will be valuable for U21 farms as well.

But for normal teams doing normal training (the majority of BB) I still believe there's little point to them. Just buy the 19 year old 70 TSP version and save yourself the time and cost of a season of training.

It's great that certain peeps still prefer 18 year olds but the majority of teams, managers and players are not D1, B3 or NT. This could hurt 18 year old prospects long term in general as people will prefer 19 year olds more now over 18 year olds, They are cheaper to train and have a bigger impact when initially drafted.

The elastics you talk of only really mean something for the very tip top potential players right? Your 7/8 potential player being 19 now means a lot more imo as you are effectively half a season ahead in training in a lot of cases and need a YT half as long saving you a few hundred thousand.

After going through half of Slovenia's drafts this are the results;

18yo
S63 0.6 HoF + 1.3 MVP = 1.9 total
S62 0.8 HoF + 0.7 MVP = 1.5 total

19yo
S63 1.3 HoF + 1.7 MVP = 3.0 total
S62 0.8 HoF + 0.8 MVP = 1.6 total

Extra 18yo are expected due to said changes not the double amount of 19yo. While this is still a small sample size compared to totality of BB it's enough to warrant an investigation into possible bug!

That's exactly what we were looking for, to end the domination of 18yo over the draft. To make a 19yo draftee a reasonable option.

How this makes any sense?
They're just numbers like atrocious skill vs respectable. One is premium the other is not. Now both are mundane. By increasing the amount of premium assets you devaluate them and you did so for both skill and potential (possible bug). How will this improve the game?!

50+ 18yo HoF are pretty common.

I'm not saying that D1 NT or B3 levels prove it on it's own, but if its better for them training wise, then training wise it's better for everyone.
With that being said i agree 19yo have those pros of having one less season of training, being more prepared to contribute for the team immediately.

D1 NT or B3 needs the highest possible skill. Most users need the least amount of time and money to get to specific salary which they can still afford. 19yo have advantage both in skill and cost (youth trainer).
