yer transfer market is such a funny thing. actually during my recent purchase i realised an extent to which the Free agency is affecting the transfer market.

my recent purcahse - Salary - $115k per week (or whatever it is)..... Free agency starting price - $1,150,000
The guys is 30... There were 34 year old free agents listed at starting price of $750k which is JUST STUPID.

I bought my guy for $215k.... ok so i nabbed a bargain, but when i was looking there were SOOOOOOOO many other players for sale who were a free agent and listed as the price above, OR, other users, who have seen this free agency price and thought 'oh thats what the market must be for this guy, ill list him at that'.
and in all honesty, it makes it VERY difficult to find a player for a more reasonable price, because people are still paying the inflated prices simply because its so hard and the choice is limited.

agree with all else u said up there as well. sometimes, less is more.

There are no downpops at age 32 except for stamina, the earliest is age 33.

Agree a well trained 20 or 21 year old is a lot better investment than an 18 year old.

I doubt if its possible to avoid relegation from the ABBL if you were playing an 18 year old for 48 minutes in each game

You can't have your cake and eat it all. Only train one 18 year old if you are doing single position training and train them in the cup/scrimmages. Fairly simple isn't it? ;)

Maybe YOU can win all your cup games with an 18 year old playing but most people can't. Anyone that scouts you properly would know, then again you can probably just throw him out there in league as most teams tank their league games against you too.

Well, that's why you need to plan accordingly and make realistic goals. If you do train an 18 year old then surely there's bound to be certain weeks in your schedule where you need to make a sacrifice for league or cup. I do have an 18 year old allstar player I drafted who I'm doing tiny bits of training but don't plan to make him anything special but a good backup. I'm willing to sacrifice some training minutes just to win. Just be smart when and where you play your trainees. ;)

Also don't start raging against me just because a few games haven't gone your way this season. I've had two teams (Slam and Urmummas) buy up before my game but they lost even doing so. Not my fault all teams aren't trying hard enough to win against me. But if they try, don't expect me to back down so easily. :p
