There is point in the idea of hiding the bad defender. But, this is sourt of complex since whe don't know how good a scorer needs to be in order to choose to "attack through the weaker defender" .

There are many things we don't know. A critical theme that arises here is if the help defenders actually are helping to defend. Because, in the way that I started to think it, they were more of a trouble: they come to "help" but they're creating an opportinuty that good scorer can take advantage of.

Perhaps, the "total defense" is actually incremented with the help defender making a better solution that leaving only your downgraded guard OD +14. Maybe, having your upgraded PG OD +14 and upgraded SF OD 8 is way better for defense than the lonely PG OD +14 with handicap. Even if for Match Viewer purposes you see the 3 point shoot being guarded by that SF.

I starting to think that this Match Viewer thing is going to be a problem when it comes to better understand some dinamics of the GE. Because, is not that there are things you couldn't see, we might be seeing misleading clues when it comes to these aspects of zones.

I'm with brianjames here. I'd really like to see more balance between outside and inside offense. In fact, I'd really like the three big men lineup to disappear as an advantageous tactical option.

i understand your desire to see a more balanced gameplay but this should be stated and underlined in the News..
i can not defend the teams which i was easily defending in the old engine..
i'm %100 sure that outside offense is affected positively by the update but i look back into the News and i can not see anything related with that..

I don't think that you could provide enough evidence for that, not now at least.

Anyway, this might be true. I'm not saying that in my understanding it is. But I'm not really sure if BBs make "secret" changes to the GE. One possible explanation (this might be wrong off course) is that Assisted Shoots tend to ocurr more near the perimeter that near the case. If that is right, and we all know that more assited shoots will ocurr; then yes, some tactics will be more interesting than before.

But that's something that you as manager should think off, and It will be a "secondary" effect just like the incremented amount of shootblocks in 2-3 zone. But again, if it is true, is not like BBs were traying to secretly improve 2-3 zone when compared with other zones.

It's managers work to find out this sourt of things.

Second Team:
Slaytanic
so I would say a new era of R&G its coming to BB and look inside will lose his power, which was really too powerful, unless the inside teams have good SF with good OD and good inside skills.

I thought the same that you, look inside was better to play from outside, anyway I'd like to wait the second match, in that one my PG had lvl 19 in JS but his % was really bad and his SF doesn't have a lot of OD. I hope it was because I played look inside, we will see ;)

Well, if this system benefits outside focused teams then I suddenly have a big obstacle placed in front of me in the middle of the season, considering I'm an inside focused team with poor outside defense, with my two main competitors being great outside shooting teams. Guess I'll have to restructure my team and hope to advance next season.

Its not that it benefits outside teams. Its that if you dont have a good SF, going 3-2 it will be for you really hard, i would not consider to restructure the team, its just that now is more balanced well at least i feel like it.

Wow, TV-contracts have brought much more benefit than earlier, but it's still a huge difference between the first and the second divisions ( in Russia - about 35000$), though my league is not much weaker than Russian Superliga. I think it's not fair especially when difference between 2nd and 3rd divisions is usually less than 15000$.

We are the ones who wanna play, always wanna go but we never wanna stay

From my point of view, you are arguing to take away a viable strategy for teams with three good big men. I completely disagree that always playing three big men is advantageous. If you have three great guards and play FCP, you will get 20-30 steals. Should that be disallowed, especially if the opposing SF is a big man with poor handling skills?

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.
