Its because he is in the red league, and they have always been the easier of the two confs.

we had a VERY good team drop down last few seasons, last couple the team only demoted after battling in the cup.

check the team that won last year.

http://www.buzzerbeater.com/team/38671/overview.aspx <--south vic menstrals rated 52 in aus.

Harsh,

Will stick up for Donny there and a tip for the youngsters.. You get 500k for promoting and obviously you get paid much better even if you are dreadful. A lot of these guys tank when they realise they are no chance, get a good trainee or 2, save heaps of coin and use the relegation to get some more money to boost there status next time up. Some of the teams we have had fall back have been top 50 with salarys worth half of our entire teams.

yeh but you will go up and come straight back down. you have to develop a team that will go up and hopefully stay up. which is what i plan to do if and when i promote. no saying we will get a top 50 team, but if we do it just gives me another season to develop my team to contend with top 100 teams

You have a point bainsy but remember this there are two ways to get that epic team:

1. Training youngsters
2. Buy monsters

Alot of tanking teams choose option 2. When they realize they cannot avoid being relegated they sell as many plays are possible (bar the trainees) and save every $$$$$ to make sure that they can buy a better team and avoid relegating the next season.

When the Beasts Roar all in the way shall be struck down!!!!!

i am going to try with the combination of the two. if you train your youngsters properly they can be hard to handle for those bigger salary mono-skilled monsters. especially in the sf position because people are forced to play a sg or pf there because sf's arent usually trained properly to handle inside and outside.

training younger players and supporting them with the monster C and whatnot is the ideal way to develop a team

i had a peek through the div II's and there will be 2 bots therefore some divs wont get demotees and there are some other beatable teams that may come down for the top teams in our div

Not true Donny boy, have a look back mate over the last 4 seasons anyways which are the ones I have been in, the red have always been as good minus 1 player, unfortunately for yourself the DII team always seems to end up in the blue but other than that the win/loss over the top 4 for each league are very similar.

Too true neeber, we have all seen it a few times, when you think about it you have to pay there strategy, it is much quicker than the first, unless you get a good trainee early and know what you are doing it will cost you a tonne to get one!

I look forward to seeing your sf then dude, patience will prove you right if you can last out a few long seasons. Hope we score one of these dudes that are not so great here next season, assuming I don't get up I would like a chance to have another go!
