Wow. Never leaving New England and not even knowing Always Sunny existed. I'm taking you down a few notches for this.
You should go to some other places. Rent a car, spend a week, visit some beautiful scenery in the Midwest or the South, stay at cheap ass motels, talk with some rednecks, eat some great food, and go back with more certainty that New England is great.(Alternatively, that last one might not happen.)
