You definitely had an enth advantage for game 3 (I went CT-Norm-CT starting at 9 enth for game 1) unless you had some crazy cup hangover. Your forwards had a lot of foul propensity, which went a long way toward me beating you in game 1 even "walking into" your 2-3 zone; and then you lose the rebounding boost from 2-3 in game 3 with the M2M. Overall, I wasn't shocked by the FT numbers of our teams in any of our games; I very consciously build my team to avoid foulers, even at the cost of some "benefits" of physical play. I think the game basically turned on Abelis getting handsy and fouling out with a big chunk of time left; most of Navarro's free throws were from Abelis fouls other than the down-the-stretch total (which contributed 8/10 to my FT stats, so I was 15/18 from the line in the "contested" phase of the game, not quite a big of a disparity as the box score suggests -- and of those 18, 10 were conceded by Abelis (4 shooting fouls of Navarro and 1 bonus foul of Navarro).
I'm certainly glad you didn't try something different with your offense, I suspect you might have had some pretty good success going balanced/inside against my 3-2 zone. Best of luck to you in D3 -- my last trip down, I was able to run stable on 270k salaries, all L4 staff, and a shortish cup run, so I don't think you'll have to get too medieval on your lineup if you don't want to.
