Decent plan. He needs some serious rebounding training too though.

i don't know what i should do with this player:

he is a 6'11'', 18yo, superstar

JS 5 JR 5
OD 6 HA 8
DR 8 PA 3
IS 4 ID 7
RB 6 SB 3

i guess he would make a very good PF or C, but I train him together with two guard trainees. i used the training simulator to calculate how he would look if i just stick to my training plan for the guards.

after 4 seasons he would turn 22 and look like this.

JS 10 JR 7
OD 12 HA 13
DR 15 PA 10
IS 11 ID 9
RB 9 SB 4

is his OD an overkill for a PF? my guards would be finished by then. i would continue to train him in insideskills, so he can have 16/15/13/8 when he turns 26.

i think he would make a very good PF/SF but is it really worth to train him for 8 long seasons or would it be better to get a smaller player and built a REAL SF?

edit: oh and he has freethrow at 1, so i guess i will need to train him in this skill a few weeks

Wow he is a very diverse player. I'm not sure if he could be NT material because usually the bigs need at least Hall of Famer potential, but this guy looks kind of like a solid PF which could be useful... He is very interesting nd you should contact the NT manager and see what he has to say.

He would be a monster PF/C in a Princeton offense. I have three guys that are 23 now that went through similar training types, though I converted a little earlier and their starting skill sets varied greatly.

I would push his OD up to 8, and passing up to 5, at least. I think you'll still have time to cap him out, considering his height.

I would contact the NT manager like EBW said because he is the one ultimately making the decision. I would get one more pop in IS and ID and then I would train passing. Since your player only has MVP potential, he might cap if you keep pumping primaries. I would get his passing up to 10 or maybe even higher for 3 reasons

1. NT managers normally love their big men to have high PA to avoid turnovers and keep the ball moving.

2. Your player only has MVP potential so he will need something other than primaries that the NT manager would like. His HA and DR are great but the passing may seer your player apart. Also the passing barely counts against a player's cap.

3. The passing will train quickly because passing trains faster for tall players and your player has built up a really good elastic effect for PA because of his high HA.

Personally I would like to get 1 or 2 pops in OD but that could take way too long. Once you're done training PA you can finish training the primaries in whatever way you wish and hopefully you can get your player capped out.

8 10
10 8
