Hopefully.
So far scouting is done, roster selection is currently in progress. If you haven't voiced your opinion yet, please go to the offsite at bbcanada.forumotion.com

When it comes for goals this season..... that's a rough one. Realistically, we are 4th power in America, behind USA, Chile and Brazil. So getting to the semis is a plan minimum. With a bit of luck (look semifinal 2 seasons ago) we can make it to the final, but beating current World Champions will be a mountain to climb.

Hmm, enthusiasm reset happened earlier than I expected. Was about to do final updates to my database, luckily didn't call up anyone before double checking the enth.

So Ralph Hansen stays on a roster, and he will be saved. Should be on transfer list in next 3 weeks. Only hole is IS. JS is on a low side as well, but the rest of skills are absolutely great (2x mediocre 1x average, 5x respectable). It truly is a shame he will miss at least 4 weeks of training but still one of the best prospects we have from this draft.

If there is any other player that needs saving, let me know ASAP. I am willing to sacrifice 1-2 more roster spots

Thanks for the info. Saw that. Might scout couple more youth players but doubt I will find time.

I saw that a few days ago and thought maybe it was already discussed and I had forgot. He actually went bot over 5 weeks ago. Really disappointing one.

Made first call ups. Only players that are fairly obvious. So far 7 guys in there, most of them bigs with 1 SF and Stronks......
That shows our bad depth at guards.

For bigs, Worley is safely better than other big man options. From there it's your call with the others. 4+ big man options for 1 or more likely 2 spots.

Maybe minutes trend is where you make final decisions at guard.

Guevin - routinely gets perfect minutes and great track record
Ferguson - perfect minutes and track record
Kearns - LPP currently inactive, Kearns had 120+ mins last week.
Chacon - only received 32 mins last week. (worth noting Laurent had 80+ under same owner so dunno how to make sense of these. maybe PM owner?)
Stavridis - 75 mins, which isn't always bad, but he did drop GS
Barbiroli - 105+ mins last week
Gaudreault - perfect mins and track record. not necessarily a guard in most tactics but a NT candidate nonetheless.
Jolly - perfect minutes and track record
Getsko - minutes haven't actually been too great, but possibly due to training and other factors. wouldn't read too much into it.
Macindeor - 84 mins and dropped GS, but good mins under same owner last season
Morales - mins last week were a tad high, but great track record beyond that

So, Guevin looks especially good. He's got the nice total skills and should be solidified a spot with minutes trend. Ferguson and Gaudreault look good to me. Chacon was my other guard on the offsite picks and still probably is. Jolly is very interesting to me, but it's difficult to bite the bullet and pick him over Chacon or Ferguson or Gaudreault.

Yep, completely forgot about Worley. He is a lock as well. Will take deeper look at guards. Gaudreasult is close, there is a problem with PGs. wonder if Jolly is worthy of consideration at all. Or is he redundand if Chacon is in good GS? Kearns would be in if LPP was actoive and his GS was good.

Hmm, what about Spadaro? I know he has small potential but he might be one of the best Li Sg we have (kind of sad but true)

Jolly and Chacon aren't similar at all. But, Jolly might be a step behind after another look. Might be better as a call-up if he receives continued training. Chacon looks pretty solid except for the one big weakness in an important unnamed skill, then it's just a question of his gameshape under new ownership. I think Kearns would've reluctantly had to make the NT too if LPP was active. Now it's less likely since it'll be hard to call up a 35 y/o weeks into the season.

I overlooked Spadaro. Personally, I disagree with the notion he'd be a capable inside SG but like him at SF. Gaudreault, though, is Spadaro's closest comparable and Gaudreault just seems better and more versatile, especially with our current lack of outside presence. Or, you could just take Spadaro since it's your decision.

If we really wanted to go the inside LI SG route, I think Hudgins might be best off shifting to SG. We'd still have Hall and one of Gaudreault/Spadaro/Bradshaw along with Worley for SF.

Don't want to influence you, but for the sake of a 12-man team for an extreme inside offence... something like:

Stronks(31)/Guevin(6)/Chacon(6)/Ferguson(5)
Hudgins(32)/Guevin(14)/Gaudreault(2)
Hall(32)/Gaudreault(12)/Worley(4)
Sammons(33)/Laurent(11)/Worley(4)
Collin(27)/Laurent(19)/Arsenault(2)

Of course, that wouldn't happen as long as blank line-up exists. But I doubt Spadaro would play much at guard in blank line-up either.
