I'm still tied down with my 2 current trainees, with an open training slot only available next season.
However, I may be able to squeeze out a slot this season if things get desperate. His training won't be optimal though, and the slot will only be available near the AllStar Week. Looks like we are not facing a shortage of supply, but a shortage of demand.

Kwaiwah, thanks for clarifying.

I thought most of the players I listed was from inactive teams. Hopefully the active owners will agree to release them if they are not interested to train.

As for 15028359 (Muhd bin Rabin), he is scouted when he is still with Tony#9 and the scouting is by the usual painstaking way of going through the Div 2 (4 of them) ans Div 3 (16 of them) draft results. This season, I was a bit lazy, so it was done almost randomly by selectively clicking the draftees. I may have missed out some big fishes, though. Anyone can spot a 6-7K kid still unnoticed?

Sad but true.
If only we had this project initiated 2 seasons ago. I was looking for 3 outside trainees and had saved up money to do so.
Now I am already training 3 foreign trainees and will most likely still be training these 3 at least for the next 2 seasons (Up to Season 15)

So maybe our focus has been wrong to begin with. Instead of looking for local trainees we should be looking for trainers instead :p

If I were to target a few teams to ask to be Malaysia trainers, it will definitely be teams in the middle tier.
What I mean is, BB Malaysia is currently roughly divided into 3 tiers (Valid for Season 13 only):
Tier 1: Each of teams' top 3 players are above $30K salary
Tier 2: Each of teams' top 3 players are above $15K salary
Tier 3: Each of teams' top 3 players are below $15K salary

Tier 1
Teams from Tier 1 definitely have the money but these teams are mostly in MBBA and to manage training minutes for an 18yo will be very hard especially with competition so tight. They have the financial means but will unlikely to field the trainees as starter as it will risk their game

Tier 2
Teams from Tier 2 also have money and they are mostly teams that tend to always be the top teams of Div II (or bottom teams in MBBA). These teams don't need to juggle their players much as they don't have much competition (or much chance to win).

Tier 3
Teams from Tier 3 are direly needing trainees but usually don't have an Arena size above 8K and cannot sustain a level 5 trainer. Plus, they do not have the means to buy the trainees they really want from the transfer market. Tier 3 can still be NT trainers from draft or their initial roster.

So here are some Tier 2 teams. Hopefully our U21 NT Coach can send them a BB Mail to see if they will be interested to train the next U21 player (in case they don't frequent our forums).
Teluk Kechai Superchefs (MBBA)
The Great Adidas (MBBA)
疯人打球 (MBBA)
Tony#9 (MBBA)
come OWN me (Div II.1)
Bang Balls (Div II.1)
Sibu Swat (Div II.2)
Yamcatlou (Div II.3)
Amrinz Boolarz (Div II.4)*
penang celtic (Div II.4)*
sarawakHotShot (Div II.4)*
Schwarze Armee (Div II.4)*
18MiRAGE (Div II.4)*

*Looks like stiff competition in Div II.4 :p

I am considering myself in Tier 2...:)
im training 2 trainees for either keep for own team or sell in 2 seasons time...
I think i could contribute into N21 next season onward as my focus will be in training 1 position after this season or after all star break, depend how well Kwu has gone...That's my plan

Div2.4 is no joke.

Although i have the arena and the players to support my game plans, i still won't be able to go full time into training outside based players as much as i would want to, partly because of my current training regime which revolves around Ghandi and Zailani.

Since i'm not aiming to be the top dog in the div, i still can throw away a few games every now and then..which gives me the oppurtunity to focus more on training minutes. I have a level 5 trainer and it would be a waste not to utilize him fully. Let me know how i can help.

Hmm... just a personal opinion.

1. Since you are going to train on inside players, then why not sell your young outside players? They should get a handsome price now.
(15028408)
(15028400)

2. Why train Zailani (12178098)? He is already 21 yo and only $15K. I don't think you will be able to get him to his full potential. He's too short for a post player also.

3. Since you have a level 5 trainer, why not get another local trainee? Get an inside player. Tell us your critieria and we can help you find your candidate. This way, you can still train Gandhi and the new trainee full time. Zailani you can try to squeeze in some training if you are able to manage but as reserve trainee :p My advise, get a trainee which has the same weakness as Gandhi.
Meaning, if you are already working on Gandhi's Rebound then you can get a player with Inept Rebounding and everything else at respectable.

Unfortunately i'm a tier 3 manager. Jus my second season. That also i missed a third if the last season. I'm not aiming ti get promoted or anything this season so i dont mind farming for minutes. Right now i'm trainin 5 players. 2 who are not local. Will sell them off and hopefully get 1.5 mill or so. Then will start looking for more local outside trainees from above list. Problem is that the two trainees are back bone players of my squad. So i will definitely get knocked out if the cup if i do this. Jus need to know in qdvance when to expect thw trainees to hit the market.

Two things to add to this discussion.

Time the trainees are released into the market are beyond our control, and sometimes estimation. They are listed as soon as their team is bottified, so potential buyers need to be on their toes at all times. Happened to me 4 seasons ago when I was tracking Shawal, so I know a little patience is required.

I strongly urge potential trainers, in order to maximize your trainees, not just to have at least a level 5 trainer but also to incorporate single position training. Yes, that means training 2 players (Trying to train 3 will mean one player will sometimes lose out). Why is this? You'll get higher powered players faster, which for a tier 2-3 club is more effective than having a weaker player but with sufficient cover on the bench. Cover on your bench really means nothing if your starter is being blown to bits. Every skill except JS and DV has a single position training routine. I trained 2 position training during my first season, and have corrected myself since. There is also another risk in 2 position training. If everything works as planned and after proper training bases have been established, a player trained under 2 position training will never make it to U21 squad.

As mentioned by Spaz, waiting for a team to become bot is a very slow process. I believe a team becomes bot after 6 weeks of inactivity. So those inactive from May should be bottified within the week.

But as stressed before by Ah Moi, there are also plenty of local 18yo players who are under active managers and can be negotiated to be put on the market if the price is right. Especially if the manager has no plans to train the player anyway.

So in summary, you can:
1. Look for your future trainees from active managers and try to negotiate a contract for the player to be transferred to your team.
2. Wait for the identified players to become bot and enlisted into the transfer market.

My advice, since we have so many trainees to choose from, review all the trainees and see if there is any trainee that you feel you MUST have.
If they all are about the same, then preferably you go for option 1 to negotiate a contract with an active manager. This way is much faster.
But just so you are aware, a good trainee price on the market can range from $200K to even up to $2M. So you should be aware that just because you have negotiated with an active manager to get a player at $350K doesn't mean you are guaranteed to get the player. You still need to outbid other interested managers.

But looking at your roster, you already have a fair share of trainees in your roster. Some of whom are also local. Why not just continue to train these players? As you said, you are a Tier 3 manager. So if you already have trainees, you might as well, continue to train them and use the money to expand your arena. Your current arena size is only 6.7K which is too small for Div II.
