hes correct on the matchups for the players they have now and it doesnt matter what position they list everyone at. just because you put lebron at "pg" doesnt mean fisher/blake will be guarding him

The most important thing in all of this is the the Celts have two more seasons to get a championship :). Season One of the Miami Dynasty is the critical season - beat them before the chemistry is solidified.

GL having aging guards find a way to score on the best perimeter defense we have seen on a team since ive been alive.

Are we talking about Heathens again?

I think they will be the best regular season team. Come playoffs though I think the Lakers will beat them.

You know I have read through this thread, and so I will throw my opinion in the pot.

First off, I think Dwade is the best player. I just go back to when he won the NBA Finals for the heat a few years ago. He flat out dominated. That is something James has not done yet. Lebron has been able to dominate in spurts, but not for an extended period. But now he may not have to.

So what will happen? We can all agree the Heat should end up with a top 3 seed in the East (prob 1 or 2). So it all depends on how well the players mesh together. If they can play together, they will be really tough to beat. Just think that they have 2 players that can lead the league in scoring. And Bosh is an accomplished inside scorer. So who do you stop? I think Bosh could end up with some nice numbers since most of t he attention will go to the outside presence of Wade and James. Oh, and they added Miller who can shoot the 3 ball. How open will he be at times?

Now this is all on the offensive side of the ball. It's no secret that Wade and James are willing to put the work into playing defense, and they are very good at it. So while they wont have the great inside defender, I don't think it will matter since the league is really turning into a outside oriented game.

I think I will predict that they go to the finals, but might lose to the Lakers. But again, if they can get it put together, they could just run away with it.

My 2 cents worth.

Interesting line. It doesn't surprise me that Lebron has the higher stats for a season. But Wade's numbers are for a finals playoff series.

OK. No slight on Lebron. He is the King. Great player. More people/experts will rank Lebron over Wade as a player a much higher percentage of time. But for me, I just like Wade's game more.

So I would rate the current best 3 players in the league as Kobe, James and Wade. So think back in history when there has ever been 2 of the top 3 players in the league on the same team? It just doesn't happen. Until now. It will be very interesting to see. It's bee a while since there was this much interest in the NBA. More people will be watching what happens. Hell, 10 million people watched "The Decision".

True that most teams offenses are outside oriented, but all the best teams have huge threats inside. So while there is no doubt this Heat squad will breeze through the regular season, its going to be interesting during the playoffs. Look at the four teams who made the semi-finals last season - Lakers, Phoenix, Celtics, and Magic. All of these teams can play inside, but more importantly they can defend inside. Obviously the Heat will be a driving team on offense, but will they be able to defend Pau and Bynum, or Howard?
