Hey guys, just thought I'd pop in and show my face around the old div. Some of you will remember me from 2 seasons a go. I was a long standing player in this comp from about season 5 onwards. Unfortunately I got stagnant and relegated to div III at the end of season 12.

I went through season 13 undefeated and nearly swept straight through the finals. My PF Bozo Vasilic managed to take out the MVP as well (some of you may remember him).

I have popped back up to div II now in II.3.

I see Meateors was unsuccessful in the ABBL, bad luck there Holtz. I notice Pheonix5 is still hanging tough. At least the guys in this league will enjoy your reviews and write ups through out the season! I've taken a leaf out of your book and have been attempting to do much of the same in my leagues. Definitely makes things more interesting.

Do you guys reckon Aussie Battlers will go bot? The team's been inactive for 10 days, still a while away.
Did they log on regularly last season?

This is what he had to say end of last season...
I have been a shell of my giant killing self being on auto mode with my best players benched for most of the second half of the season. BB has been blocked at work and with a new bub haven't been able to devote much time. Hoping to make a better run next season.

So only time will tell but I really do hope not.

I'm back in this league aswell and kinda re-building. May not recognise my new team name, but we've played 11 times and I did enjoy 7 of those matches. We did play a couple of 2 point thrillers aswell and you beat me in both :( and one of those 2 matches was played in season 8 where the was a combined total of 300 points scored that night.

Good to see that you've started of well in your league, and hopefully we meet again (preferably in the ABBL).

Ah yes, "Melbourne North End Bulls"! I remember one season knocking you out of the playoffs and finishing 2nd in the playoffs, season 7. Still to this day I have no idea how I made that final series, biggest fluke in my teams history besides my first championship.

I had wondered where you went and also wondered who the Drop Bears were. Glad to see you're still kicking along, hopefully we do cross paths on the court one of these days (yes hopefully in the ABBL but not for a while yet).

I also remember you Violator from III.2 days - i went up 2 seasons ago, then VCut and now you. Well done. There are some teams in III.2 who have been there since well before my time (season 6 and before).

good luck staying up and we should scrimmage some time.

Yeah looking back over the seasons since 5 when I first came to this div there have been a number of teams that have come and gone and then returned. Razzle Dazzles, Budgwoi Bulldogs, Bricklayers and Yarra Park. Poor Steves Crocs seems to be the one team consistently in the top 4 that has not yet had a crack at the ABBL. Just needs to find that little something extra I think.

Any of you that wanna scrim, hit me up. I basically use scrims for training so if you're doing the same I can guarantee my worst possible team/set up! lol

Just had a closer look after re-reading what you said Greeno. You used to be Mmm Donuts! That season in div III that I won, I had only signed up for BB in the final week of the season. To this day I don't understand how I won the championship. Well you are another that's been around for a while, hard to keep track when everyone keeps changing their names!

I also noticed Tassie Gunners was in that league way back then two, who is another regular in this league!

whereas some of us only started mid way in season 10 so this season is the start of our upper tier history

every season since we started we have been in the same league so it is funny not having all my old div 3/6 friends around

i have never not made the semifinals before so this season is going to be a lot of pain for my fans

Violator - i have always been northcote slammers, mmm donuts was relegated last season unfortunately. i am just not that memorable - have flown under the radar for years!!

my main nemesis in my III.2 days was Haggards, who went up to ABBL last year, but was relegated along with Holtz.

Maybe this will be Crocs year...

Ahh now I see, you said you went up after the season after I promoted. I originally used to be in III.4, I went back to see who won the season after me and it was Mmm Donuts, hence why I was confused. You are saying you used to be in the div III league I just promoted from last season right?

Hey Violator,

I have made the playoffs of this league every year (top 8 in league top 4 in conference) since Season 3 but made the finals only once going down to Drunken Magic. That is a lot of consistent failure to get it done!

A couple of times my mate Steve knocked me out but I recognise most of the current and former DivII guys who are back.
