It occurs to me that bots will see their game shape going down quickly as they make it to later rounds--though the actual bot teams still in should be better than the average early round bot team, their actual performance should be in steady decline.

The bots actually get pretty good rotation from the players that they use - they might not have very good stamina. If a player does overplay it may be self-correcting; his GS goes one week and he sees a little bit less action the next.

They have 6 extra players (18 original, 12 suit up) plus a couple of seasons of draft picks whose game shape is declining.

The team I checked, all the non-players were down to average, but those who played were in reasonable GS. Of course, they may be exceptional, having already taken down two human teams in D.IV (29248)

I think you're right--I've been tracking my next bot opponent since that post, and it seems to be getting the rotation. The other side of that is that they aren't likely to be playing as strong a squad as they could be.
