Good post Stauder. I am not aware of anyone ever winning games or promoting or making it to NBBA based on claims announced to the general public. As far as I am aware the only way to get to the NBBA is to manage your team well. Bold claims dont factor in.

I would actually love for BB to be this way, the more competition the better, are you seriously telling me you just want an easy way to the top? Playing teams just training a NT player, bot teams, teams that don't know what they're doing? No, of course I want to be in the top league eventually, but guess what, I'm enjoying my way to the top and still going to enjoy it. I enjoy competition, the more competitive BB becomes the more enjoyable it becomes for me.

I agree, and I guess that's what I was saying, just far less eloquently. My short term goal is to build my prospects, maybe get one into U21 team, get to DIV in the next two seasons and develop my arena. Those are all things I can control. When I move up I have no idea how stiff the competition will be... I could end up in a league with a handful of former DIII teams that had a run of bad luck or with teams locked and loaded for a run... or I could be in another boring league with only me and maybe some other person being relatively active. And in that case, at least I'll get a good draft pick out of the situation. So no matter what really happens there are enjoy parts of the game. I just know thinking that I can make it from where I am to the top in 6 or 7 seasons is a little far fetched... but if I get the chance I going at it full speed.

You don't get it. A team needs time to grow. When you promote it is an uphill battle in tough leagues. Now imagine you promote, then relegate, promote again, relegate. Do you know what that does to you financially? If you don't have a cash reserve, if you have holes in your defense, if your training is a liability, you NEED to have different goals other than promotion, or you are setting yourself up for disaster. Right now you are 3-7, so I'm pretty sure you should welcome "the teams that don't know what they are doing."

Should he welcome those teams or just consider himself one?

Seriously though, 3-8 in D4 should be a crime...

:) Stauder, he's got a plan.

But if he should ever want some advice, there is a mentoring thread, and I think Jfarb and Azariah still offer help on the game chat from time to time. (hint hint)

Yes because its not like I'm focusing completely on the cup or anything, and hey its not like im training certain players at certain positions, where in real games they have no right belonging.

Oh, I wonder if it too could be that said team wants to stay another season in IV due to not being prepared for III.

I really like how you get all defensive after me stating my perspective on the game, no where did I say "I'm gonna win my league every season and go undefeated!!! I'm the best team and manager on BB!!!!"

No, I'm saying how I play the game, and how I like the game, I like competition, if you don't like competition, then you like a different style of game than me.

By all means keep this "circle of friends attacking" on posters that don't typically post in the USA forums, I really do like the ego for someone that cannot get out of III, hows mediocrity going for you?

How does this sound/look?
In season 15, Little Rock Rimrockers made the playoffs in league USA III.3
In season 14, Little Rock Rimrockers made the playoffs in league USA III.3
In season 13, Little Rock Rimrockers made the playoffs in league USA III.3

Or how did being demoted from III go? I just think its quite funny that you act like I'm someone thats been around from season 1 and use generalizations on me, but I guess this happens to most players after they've been around awhile and then treat others they feel are 'outsiders' 'noobs' 'clueless people'

By all means I wish your team the best of luck, and I hope that someday you get over this attitude/ego you currently have, good luck.

And what are you basing this off of? That my team isnt undefeated in IV? I realize I'm not going to be able to have fantastic league & cup results, so I decided to focus on the cup, but I guess some people are too lazy to even look at my games.

Also, please keep the "hes got a plan" type jokes/attacks up, please keep thinking I'm a V team that has this secret plan about how hes going to train this player up, win this league one season, eventually win the next league and boom be in NBBA, no get over it.

I realize the seed I'll end up in and do the strategy that will best work out for me, I knew getting the 4th seed would be the best result for my team, and thats where I'll end up at the end of the season(feel free to bump this up, I can 100 percent guarantee the spot I end up will be #4, its where I thought would be the best for me at the beginning of the season).

To more so clearly state my opinion on the topic I'd rather put it as this: If you're not trying to advance through your league and win games when you need to/its beneficial towards you, then you're not playing the game right in the way I view it.

Look Prizzle, I am sorry if i offended you. But I took this statement quoted above you made seriously, and it didn't match up with your record. If you were serious about competing, you wouldn't be focusing on the cup. It seems a bit hypocritical to believe U21 trainers are playing incorrectly when you are favoring the cup and not your league games.

Anyhow I wish you the best in your quest to the NBBA
