To get the best player available, you have to do two things:

1. Get the best rookie (costs a lot of money)
2. Get lvl 7 trainer (costs a lot of money)

If you have money for both, great. If you don't, what's better? To save money on a rookie or to save money on the trainer?

My opinion: Get lvl 6 trainer and find the best rookie. Former is cheaper than latter. At least that's what I'm doing.

First of all read the red guides. Second, don't start wasting money without some research. Third, compae your numbers and roster to the other teams of your league. Fourth, try sites like www.buzzer-manager.com to have second opinions on who to play. Fifth, invest on your draft if you have a bad record.

Experiment, try different tactics and then let us know about it.

Worst thing that you can do is spend your money without research. Read all the guides, take into consideration what position you are in, if you are , say 7th or something you may want to purposely lose matches to end in a lower position to get a better draft pick. Spending the 300k on Arena won't hurt. Its too late for scouting, you may want to NOT spend that 300k on Arena and get some rookies at the beginning of next season to train. Ask experienced players for optimal ticket prices. Cut down your roster. That way, you can manage GS and will have to pay less salaries. And a final word, I don't thing there is a Div VI in US right? If there isn't why not just fire all but 6 of your players to maximize income?? May seem a little confusing but hope I helped

Hold on to Shelton Koenig, so you won't have to buy a low salary player later. You need those to compliment your roster for best game shape and played exclusively in scrimmages.

dont waste your money on anything >5...even then, just get a L4 and save the money for ever better players on the TL.
