Sadly season 20 has ended :( Through many circumstances that were out of our control, we were not able to advance to the second round of the European championship. In the end, Suomi having HCA killed us, and I truly believe that if they did not have HCA we would have pulled off that game and advanced. Of course, that's not what happened and sometimes things just do not work out no matter how hard you try. We did finish in third though, which is actually our 2nd best finish in English U21 Championship tournament history (I know, that may sound a bit embarrassing). I was upset that we were not able to advance once again to the second round, but season 20 is over and now it is time to prepare for next season.
For the rest of this season we will be playing scrimmages to observe and get a better feel for our incoming class of 21 y/o's so we know what to expect come next season. We will try out different tactics and different players, so we can see which situations work out the best. It should be interesting, we have a lot of quality bigs coming up this season!
Lastly, I would like to thank a few people for helping out this season. First off, I would like to thank those who helped out with rookie scouting this season. Without Arrows-King, B.o.B., and Daniel Paton getting through those lists of various prospects would have been a pain. Their desire to help gave me more time to discuss the current U21 team, and help out some managers more closely. Thanks a bunch guys!
I would also like to thank all the managers who trained players who were on the team this season. Without you guys, well we wouldn't have a team :) Special thanks to those who cooperated week after week, and were understanding of our teams needs.
Last but not least, I would like to thank Eminence and GM-Revo for all their help this season. Together they helped to further teach me what it takes to be a U21 coach, and provided me with information I can use probably for the rest of my BB career (BB-career, silly isn't it :D ). I don't know where I would be without 'em.
Oh, and thanks to the the whole English community for supporting me and our team this season. For the most part, you guys were very courteous and a pleasure to work with. I'm excited to spend another great season with you guys!
Thank you
