Big talk coming from a guy who failed to realise his caps lock key was on during the team creation process.

That was on purpose, but good call anyway.

Australia has close encounter with Hong Kong
(32509)

In what was a much anticipated game by both communities, the administration staff have led the team to a hard fought victory to the the team to the top of the table in pool E.

After a slow 12-4 start, it was the bench of MacArthur and O'reilly that stepped up to give the Aussies a 20-18 lead at quarter time.

Australia flexed their biceps in the 2nd with a better defensive shut out, while piling on another 20pts of their own. Hamburger had his man covered with more turnovers than points at half time.

Hong Kong was the first team to score in the second half, reducing the lead back to 2 pts soon after the break. A low scoring 3rd quarter kept the game wide open, with each team posting 12 points.

The 4th quarter was highlighted by Santegoeds taking a big stance on a charging Hong Kong center, Pui Chit. The result was a foul to Santigoeds and the end of the night for Pui Chit. Both teams went on runs, with Australia blowing the lead out to 14, before Hong Kong retaliated with a 7 pt run themselves. But it was Australia who found avenues to score on a more regular basis, thanks to some dynamite passing from starting point guard Kewell.

MVP Votes
3 votes- Kewell (12pts, 7 assists, 4 steals, 2 boards)
2 votes- Jacki Chan (18pts, 9 rebs, 2 blocks, 3 roundhouse sweeps)
1 vote- S. O'Reilly (8pts, 3 assists, and kept his opponent to 1-10FG in 16 mins).

A few big games on tonight really defined the ladder positions. China proved they are going to be the team to beat with a comprehensive victory over home town heros Singapore. New Zealand gave a good show to Taiwan but were overrun in the 4th. And the might of the Philippines prevailed against Malaysia.

Our next game is a Cricket world cup grudge match as New Zealand try to take it to us in what should have more trash talk than a downtown New York street ball game. The team has already begun sharpening their elbows.

Australia CT'd, hold on against NZ
(32510)
In an interesting call by NZ management, Australia has survived a team desperate to steal a win and stay in touch with the semi finals. Australia was tipped off on the religious day, Easter Monday, by an anonymous person who nicknamed himself "JC". The tippoff was spot on as the Ct hit them hard in the first quarter, outscoring the top of the table Aussies 17-14. Australia was finding the scoring hard at times, with the shooting percentages down a little. But if they were finding it tough, the kiwis were hitting a brick wall, shooting at a miserable 29%.

NZs big star , Waters returned from injury, potentially a little underdone scoring 1-6FG in 32minutes of play. Australias rebound count and offensive flow both heavily contributed to the victory, leading the rebounds by 10 and the assists by 8. 20 yr old Phan had the best game of his career, with a very dynamic output. He is a very exciting prospect for next season, combining the Leunig they will create a fierce impenetrable wall not seen in u21s since the season 20 days of Scoggins, Schneider, Lonergan, and Jolly.

MVPS
3 votes- Phan with 16pts (6-14 FG, 4-6FT), 10 reb, 5 assists in 31mins.
2 votes- Cortez Ryan with 13pts (3-9 FG, 7-9 FT), 12 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block in 33 mins.
1 vote- Maverick with 10pts (5-7 FG), 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 blk in 31mins.

Next weeks opponent in Macau. Business end of the season. Coaches PM me and touch base with minute management and training plans.

I was expecting you to go after Hong Kong, since they would have been an easier game, id have had you favourites to win that one. Tough for you to get over them now with low enthusiasm, but stranger things have happened. Good luck for the remainder of the games, your team is well built!

I was really confused because he was the Philippines head coach - then I saw the Canada part and had a chuckle.
