Can you both do everyone else a favor and promote so that the rest of us stand a chance?!

52k center? God... That's like my entire team salary... Maybe this will be the season I splurge on my roster (probably not... haha)

Best thing for a young team to do is to generate as much revenue as possible. That means a big stadium, doing well with a low salary roster, and training the right kinds of players. When you go for promotion though, at least in my experience, it's best to go all out.

Yeah that's pretty much the route I've been taking, after my initial splurge (which I only partially regret, as I think I have found 2-3 players I can successfully develop) I've basically been focusing all my finances on expanding my arena... Most likely that'll continue into next season, and maybe even the season after before I sell off a few trainees and then try to compile a competitive team and / or a roster of trainees with higher potential than what I have now...

It's not a good idea what Chereyes did since it's really risky

Yeah... to be honest I love the risk, it keeps me engaged. I'll be going for a double promote next season so it'll be another splurge and battle to the end type of season. My style of management has always been pretty sporatic and I tend to either promote or demote within a season or two...

Yeah Arena building is a long and unsatisfying road but it's worth it in the long run. It's all about that money. While building arena and economic status teams have a wicked good opportunity to get some solid training in though.
