Hi guys,

Let me sum up the past two seasons in Indonesia U21 National team.

What is common for both seasons is that we don't have two-way communication and I am really sorry about that. I am writing posts and, especially in the first season I was writing BB mails to a lot of guys but received only a few messages back. That, unfortunately, limits us on having better results because we can not prepare a generation for a competition which is really important.

Season 54:
We had a fine team, balanced and we could play different tactics but Indonesia in that and also in the previous season is just an average team, golden middle. Our score was 6 wins and 5 losses which is not bad if we know that we lost against teams that are in the best 20.
We lost against Taiwan (rank 20), Australia (rank 14), Honk Kong (rank 9), and twice against the Philippines (rank 6).
Our wins were against U.A.E, Singapore, Viet Nam, Nippon, Pakistan, and India, all ranked lower than us.
Could it be better? I don't think so, teams that beat us were much much better than us, and everything different than a big loss would be a real miracle.

Season 55:
Indonesia's U21 in this season was much worse than in the season before. We had some individuals but they are all power forwards or centers and we don't have a point guard. For some guys it is written that their position is PG but believe me, it is a lie. The highest passing skill was 9 in our team and it was a disaster. With all inside players, we had to play only inside tactics but there was no one to pass the ball. Also, we lacked other outside positions as well. The highest jump range was also really small and we couldn't afford to play Run and Gun or any other outside tactic. Therefore all our opponents read our play and we couldn't run away from it.
We started that season ranked 49 and finished on position 44. Our record in that season was 3 wins and 5 losses in official competition and 6 wins in scrimmages. I purposely chose weaker teams to play against in scrimmages so we will rank higher and possibly get easier opponents in season 56.
Unfortunately, our schedule was not that good. I wanted to make a surprise and win against Sverige at their court so I went with Crunch but Sverige did the same and we lost. What I could do better was the match against Rep. Dominicana but I expected an easy win and wanted to save enthusiasm for friendly matches and move our rank higher...

Now is season 56, I am a candidate for U21 coach again and would like to continue working with Indonesia U21 national team. in the next few days, I will scout all of the players to see what do we have... If you choose me again, I would like to have better communication and to try to create THE team that will be concurrent against all opponents and we must do that together!

I already created a list of all players drafted this season. We do have one of good prospects on TL and if anyone is looking for great inside trainee, you can check this hall of fame player (50571617).

Some statistics about the draft is that we got these potentials:
10 - 1 is 18 years old and 6 are 19 => 7 in total
9 - 7 are 18 years old and 2 are 19 => 9 in total
8 - 7 are 18 and 5 are 19 years old => 12 in total
7 - 8 are 18 and 21 is 19 years old => 29 in total
6 - 6 are 18 and 10 are 19 years old => 16 in total

Of these you can find 5 on TL currently

Hello guys!

So, I have to say THANK YOU for the 2 votes that I got at the elections. All of you that voted showed their trust in me and that's nice to know.

New season for national teams starts tomorrow. The host of this tournament is Prathet Thai and the games will be played if I am not mistaken. it is the time when the games are played in Indonesia too.

In the first round, we gonna play against Hanguk, Hong Kong, Macau, Pakistan, Viet Nam, and Australia.

To progress to the next round we need to take one of the first 4 places and for that, we will need to have at least 3 wins. At first glance, we can win 4 games, but it will depend on game shapes and of course invested effort. This means that we can afford to lose one of the games against underdogs so we should be smart and calculate our enthusiasm as better as we can. We will for sure need it in the second round.

Please keep good game shape for our NT players and as I said earlier, you are all invited to contact me about training and all other stuff you need to get clarified.

Hello everyone,

I was not writing for a while due to personal obligations, but that doesn't mean I didn't work on our games and help coaches in their training. As you can see, we did it quite well until now. We have only one loss, and it was against Hong Kong which is, let's be honest, currently a better team than us.

Today we have our last game in the first round and it is against the team taking first place in our group, Australia. We already qualified for the next stage so we won't care about the result of the match but that doesn't mean we will surrender. On the contrary, we will do our best to win this game as we did for all others. It will be hard but it costs nothing to try.

Let's cheer for our boys today!

Indonesia 72 - 82 Taiwan

Today we played, at least for me, the most important game of this season. That’s why I played CT against very strong opponent but I wanted to surprise their coach with effort and to get this win. With that win we will be able to end this round with total of 4 wins which will mean to play in semi finals and to get at least 4th place after more than 30 seasons.

Not sure what would happen in case I set M2M because they are outside much stronger than us. Nevertheless, I wanted to change defense but time was changed in USA due to daylight savings and game started one hour earlier than usual looking the time in Serbia so I was 4 minutes late to change decision. That we are unlucky for this game also shows injury of our the best outside player for this game after only fee minutes of the game

Now we gonna fight for the third place that brings world championship qualifications. Please keep game shape of our NT players, we need them.

What I want to mention as well is that we need to bring up Indonesian BB community. I was contacted by foreign managers asking if their players can be a part of NT and they want just to get better price when putting them on TL. So, I need your help in to get players better trained. Our current team is OK inside, problem is that our best center is foul prone and can’t finish a game against similar opponent player. Outside we are not that good and that’s why we are easy to defend…

New Zealand U21 104 - 81 Indonesia U21

Today we paid our debts to Crunch Time from previous game. New Zealand’s coach was wise and used his chance to win the game playing CT. This loss means not too much to us because New Zealand with this low enthusiasm won’t be able to beat Australia nor Praphet Tai so at the end there I expect to have triangle where points difference will decide on third place.

Prathet Thai 106 - 105 Indonesia

One more loss. This time against Prathet Thai and I have to say that the only advantage for our opponent was playing at home but it was more than enough according to the engine. They missed defense, GDP and they have a worse team but the engine decided to reward our hosts.

The idea was to take a risk and pump enthusiasm up so we can go and play against Australia and beat them up again but this loss was unexpected...

Also, I have to mention that we had to play without our standard small forward, Jordy Wong, who was injured and who we really missed this time...

The game goes on, we have two more matches to play in this round. Those will be very hard games and I would say that we are not without chances against Australia but will see what will happen. We are out of luck in this second round regardless we were prepared for it...

Australia U21 96 - 108 Indonesia U21 (63892)

Last week we won our first game in the second round of the competition. It was against Australia and it was a good showcase of how much we missed Jordie Wong in the previous match. He scored 23 points with a great shot percentage of 10 from 19 and had 7 assists.

Indonesia U21 65 - 109 China U21 (63894)

And today we lost against one of the best teams in the competition, China. We invested all our efforts but were too weak for them.

Even before the game against China, we didn't have any chance to advance to third place which brings qualifications for the World Championship. Some of you will say that I made a mistake when I went with Crunch Time against Taiwan in the first match of the second round. Ok, maybe you are right but that was our only chance to take second place in this hard group and I decided to try. I knew we can't beat Australia and China in two games in a row so I had to try to take Taiwan's place in the semi-finals because when I saw a group for this second round I knew China and Taiwan will take their places in the best 4 teams. It was all or nothing and this time we got nothing, but we will have another chance and hopefully more luck that time.

As I told you last season, I will keep your players on the team for a week or two so you can sell them for a bigger price if you want to put them on the transfer list and then will scout a new generation of Indonesian players.

Hi guys,

In just a few hours we are starting with a tournament for this season. I waited until the last moment to invite players for the first game. They were all scouted and then removed from the team to hide what players we have.

The first opponent is the national team of Colombia. They are strong, would say have more quality players than we do but we will try to make a surprise and to win even we play at their home court.

I hope to have great news for you tomorrow and if you have time, please support our boys. (In Serbia it will be 1.30 AM so I doubt I will watch the game).

Indonesia U21 92 - 105 Colombia U21

The first game in this year competition went bad for us. We hit their focus, but they were too strong for us and they had home court advantage.


Costa Rica U21 69 - 102 Indonesia U21

Game against Costa Rica was better. Again, focus was guessed and we had an easy win with a huge difference which is very important


Azerbaycan U21 88 - 111 Indonesia U21

And today we played against Azerbaycan. We guessed their focus and also a speed. We also invested less effort than they are and again had an easy win.

One of the problems is that we couldn't count on one of our the best players Yosyoppie Utama who suffered an injury and will be out for two weeks. Also, the second best player Tommy Putra Wirayuda is out of game shape and we hope he will be better next week when we will play against Lubnan. With a win against them, we will be in great position to advance in the next round of competition...
