There is reason that you attack only me, at a time that I say what everybody said before ?
You know there is a little thing called freedom of speech and I don't remember I broke any law in any one of my posts..


Apropos of probably nothing, but "freedom of speech" does not apply to a private entity, such as BuzzerBeater.

Here's the actual text from the 1st Amendment of the United States Constitution:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

That said, other than the stated conference rules, freedom of speech is very much encouraged here.

I didn't passed any law of buzzerbeater by way of limitation of the rules and I'm completely standing in the minimal requirements of the "freedom of speech" at the same time preserving of buzzerbeater rules.

And PatjeBono, I write here in the global at very low frequency so I don't really know about what you talking about when you say "negative posts"..
And if there wasn't change in that system and you (the whole staff) so certain of this, why to keep this thread active, for more debates like this one?

Anyway, when I advertised the first message here I didn't meant to start to argue about it.. just to say my opinion and sorry that it was so "decisive" but that I see the things and although you guys say that there wasn't any change, I read the general opinion here, in Israel, in the NT and anywhere and I feel that there was something.. maybe the effect of the specialist doctor(which have to help..), I really don't know what cause this "feeling of change" but I feeling it, like the others. so I'll stick in my opinion.

Simply put, everyone that reads the forums should be reading accurate information.

If you state something that is false, like there being recent changes to the GS system, it needs to be rebutted so that false information isn't disseminated.

I really don't know what cause this "feeling of change" but I feeling it, like the others. so I'll stick in my opinion.

I dont know who should I write this message to - I would like to write it to several people and not to everybody but it cant be done.

Let me just say this - This thread lost his point a few messages ago...

I spent 5 minutes reading this thing and I think I can sum it up really clearly...

Question - Were there a change in the GS system?

The original point of this thread wasn't about a change at all. It was a discussion about the influence of randomness in the game shape calculation. There is nothing wrong with a discussion like that.

But somehow this topic got offtopic (starting at post 21 I believe), talking about a change which clearly wasn't there. It's not needed at all to close this thread if the remaining will be about the discussion of the influence of randomness again, instead of saying there was a change while even BBs confirmed there wasnt.

In my opinion there is nothing particularly noticeable about the GS between this season and the previous one. I always try to be very careful with GS, and for many weeks my team GS average has always been between the best teams of my league (spanish first division).

From my experience and also the rules, I see that GS depends on the minutes played by a player during a few weeks, and not only the current week. There is also a random factor, so sometimes we can be lucky or unlucky. As usual in this game it is hard to estimate what is random effect and what is a bad GS management.

It also seems that some players have more "nervous" GS, while others are literally stuck to a particular GS. Perhaps there is another hidden ability of players, but it could also be just a question of good stamina/coach-orders combination.

Anyway, getting close to 80 minutes is risky. I don´t know why everybody thinks that 80 minutes is a good distribution for a player. Sometimes is ok, but very often you get problems.

The last GS change was announced, and was several seasons back, when the extremity of GS drops for overplaying was toned down.

It hasn't changed since.


When BB add the new staff system, with the massage doctor specialist they must be change the GS too no ?

I got a massage doctor and one of my player cannot up in GS with only 79 minutes maximum, it's a little strange for me !

That's why i would like some explanation about that ! :)

I am not giving an official ansawer - I'll wait for a GM answer but my opinion about the massage doctor (that I have as well) is as following.

massage doctor doesn't help improving your players GS - He decreases the amount and chance of reduce GS when a player gets to much minutes per week.

Actually, I would've thought that statement is correct; the specialist does act as a modifier on the final game shape rating. It is incorrect, however, to deduce that juice is loose in his challenge. Because the way game shape is calculated itself is unaltered. With a masseuse, you are just more likely to have a happy ending. Apparently.

I guess the doctor works like this;

Are the minutes above 90, then it reduces the weekly minutes by 5%. Nothing will change in the GS calculation itself, so there isn't a change in.

Lets say a player plays 100 minutes, then due to the massage doctor he will act like he played 95 minutes.

I've no clue of course how the massage doctor really works, but I guess it's something like this.
