There are a bunch of reasons to stop or at least limit day trading. Here are the most imoprtant according to me:

* It makes no sense that players sign contracts if they have a high risk to be traded the day after (and if you introduce something that does not make sense you should have a really good motivation for it and there actually is none)

* A skillfull coach can never ever outplay a skillfull day trader in the long run. Thus it creates an unbalance where economic skills are much more important than tactical skills and after all this is a bball game (or at least marketed as sush)

* Even though trading requires some skill the most important factor for succesful trading is time. People with a lot of time to spend on the transfer market can get major benefits. This goes against the basic idea of BB (or at least what is marketed as a basic idea) of not needing to login too much while still being able to be succesful (if you are good enough)

What you say sounds good, and basically it makes some sense. But, Hattrick has proofen what happens if you allow unlimited daytradig i a game like this. They still have some problem in this area, even though it isn't even close to the DT problems a couple of years ago.

So what will the cost/tax be on selling players after the ASG?

I simply answer you that in my opinion doesn't exist a player understimate but there are a lot of newbies that buy players at fool prices (going in bankrupcy after some weeks). The market could be in balance also if I buy for 1k and sell for 1k, is not important to receive 800k if I've to spend 900k the day after because there is inflaction due to the day traders. All your opinion is based that there are players understimates, but how you can say which is the real market value? I can only see people that trying to realise profit selling with more price; finally I say that all this money don't give me a benefit and you'll see that when the skills will become more important you'll never find a player because they will pick up all the best players.

A lot. In fact, it'll be your 1st born.

Seriously, this is from the News item:

8) We will institute an agent's commission on transfers, with the commission decreasing for players who have been with their current team for a longer time. The rate table will always be published, but will vary regularly, as it is one of the ways we will try to regulate the economy and prevent massive inflation or deflation.

NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke

-Daytraders do not have a monopoly on the transfer list, so they cannot constantly raise prices. All daytraders do is make sure that players do not sell for below their fair market value. A smart daytrader will stop bidding when s/he realizes that the player is at market value because there is no more money to be made off that player.
Not true. A smart trader stops before the player reaches market value, otherwise he runs a high risk to loose money on the trade.

All you say make sense and I fully agree on it.
But with the current situation day trading is much more profitable than a good training program and team scores (in terms of the more victories the higher income).
Chespirito got to the point with his post (in particular the second point).

Hopefully the new agent's commission will re-equilibrate the situation. Many players wouldn't like a game where the guy who spends the most time on the transfer market wins.
