We have done our best to make the two teams much more balanced this season and are looking forward to a much tighter and more intense competition.

hahahah the irony of that comment is that you guys have recruited 3 extremely good teams to replace the teams you've lost. After complaining about us getting Pablo its funny how the new guys are either in Div II already or just about to make Div II.

I see a huge imbalance already in Season II. We will still only have 2 Div II teams, whereas IV7 could now potentially have 7.

im not backing down from a challenge, but the fact you girls compalined about us getting Pablo is nothing in comparison to the recruits the Calamari's got! hahahah (Oh yeh, if one of you guys are actually a girl, then I understand your whining & complaining & only direct it to the other guys in your conference!) :P

Just because a team is in div 2 doesn't mean they will be stronger, especially because they will often have lower enthusiasm than you because they can't afford to play TIE every game. Div 3 is generally really easy, so you can play TIE almost every game and promote. Also many div 2 teams might tank because they can't stay up in div 2.
So overall I think it will be close. Although IV.7 will smash you guys up in the end!

i think you guys have it over us as well, we probably will have the bottom 5 teams, but no complaints here, all fun & games.... damn girls! hahaha

hahahah yeh i have no doubt you guys have the upper hand & are favourites to take out PL version 2.

though i gotta disagree with the point that Div II teams won't be stronger. Div II teams are stronger purely because of the Funds they will be able to bring in with gate receipts and we all know what happens when teams make a bit of money they go out & buy the best of the best players on the market.

there is no amount of enthusiasm that will counter a dominant player against a weak team with high enthusiasm, i would be surprised if you disagree! hahah

haha div 2 teams will be stronger in the long run, but what I mean is that initially many teams might struggle and many teams might tank, and many teams might save up for a long time and not improve their team. So div 3 teams have it easier in that aspect.

ah i dont know about that, to even get into Div II you would've had to have been a top Div III team to start off with, hence quite strong already... unless I'm missing something and have been put in difficult Div III leagues to get out of!!

I know what you're saying, but I would still rather be in Div II and taking in the bigger gate receipts than dominating in Div III or IV and not taking in as much money, which will in turn slow or stop the growth of your team.

lol who are we trying to kid here, every tom dick and harry knows being in div2 will be better then being in div3 regardless of easy games, enthusiasm or what not. Even though your in div2 there is still no excuse for not managing your enthusiasm properly, it may be more challenging but still no excuse.

and JW is right about being div3 will slow or stop the growth of your team, especially when u reach that div3 soft cap.

Obviously being in div 2 is better because of the increased income. All I'm saying is that a top div 3 team can still beat a low div 2 team, and that just because we may have more div 2 teams doesn't mean that we will dominate.

well i'll agree with that somewhat because DFBS and Maior are both still in Div III and they both deserve to be in Div II and you're right that a good Div III team should be able to beat a weak Div II team. Though in saying that it won't take long & that much effort for a Div II team to get better compared to a Div III team.

Look @ DFBS he will be breaking up the twin towers (bjorn & Duff-Man) because he can't afford to keep them both, he wouldn't have that problem if he were in Div II.

oh yeh, you're right you guys wont dominate cos XBB never backs down on a challenge!!! haahahah

I also think JW is right but there are a couple of extra factors. You guys saw the division III survey I did, there are easy divisions where a 100k team can take you to the finals, then there are ones like DFBS and Vis are in where it is brutal. Just because you make it to division II doesn't mean you have a strong team or are a great coach.

It is better to be lucky than good.

We have been predicting how teams will go and on paper we look much stronger than the XBB however first not all teams are guaranteed to win their playoff series, second up to 4 teams have already indicated that they will be have a "rebuilding" season next season and may be a lot weaker than this season. You already know about Iwen and Naker, but there are possibly two more. You take a team which should be up the top like Naker and put him down the bottom with PossumPete and it changes things a lot.

Being in division II is clearly better, but just because you are doesn't mean you have to have a better team than a division III team.

With regard to enthusiasm I saw a LOT more crunch times in division II than I ever did in division III. I got crunched about every two weeks in division II, you can manage your enthusiasm but there is a lot more pressure.

As for stopping the growth of your team, if SAS was still in division III next season it would be Smeltz and 4 lucky fans.

that reminds me, when will the latest ranking comparisons be conducted? would be interesting to see where the Australian Rankings lineup now between the Sharks & Calamari's, I think most teams would be under top 150 now and everyone except Possum in IV7 to be Top 50 hahaahah
