has there ever been a TL colapse before? Like then TL prices go through the roof and there's like, only 4k people up in there.

Average is about 6-6.5k I belive

So my question is: Has there been any TL collapse in the History of BB?????

Yes, somewhere around season 12 when the BB put a 20k soft cap on the size of the arenas, and then refunded Billions of $$$$ for downgrading all the over sized arenas. With an instant boost in the economy the TL was screwed and player prices went through the roof for about 4+ seasons because so many people had money to burn.

I haven't read all this but here is what i think.

There are 2 Different types of tanking,

1) Tanking for draft picks

2) Tanking for Money.

To fix any tanking problem you need to take away the reward for doing it.

1) Tanking for draft picks.

The objective here is to finish as low as you can so you get the first pick in the draft, So all we have to do is not give the lowest team first pick, So i suggest making the picks random for the lowest 6 teams. Finishing last will not automatically give you the first pick, and the bottom/weaker teams still get the 6 best picks in the draft.

2) Tanking for Money.

Problems are,

1)buying up big before the playoffs.

2)sending in 3 players or forfeiting and getting money for it.

3)Training has become useless at the moment because of the TL.

1)buying up big before the playoffs

To fix this we need to change the ineligible for the playoff rule. It need something like you are only aloud to buy 1 player in the 3 weeks before the playoffs and all other players MUST have played at least 6 league/cup games for your team or they are ineligible for the playoff.

2)Sending in 3 players or forfeiting and getting money for it.

Easy fix, increase minimum player number to 5 for starting a game, Increase the Player Salaries Floor, and if a game is forfeited there is no income that week, if there was no game then there should be no income from attendance, no Merchandise sold and TV money. TV stations are not going to pay for a game that never happened. (This is only for the forfeiting team not the opponent) (And if you forfeit an away game you loose you income for your next home game)
3)Training has become useless at the moment because of the TL.

We need to increase the Merchandise for players on your team that you have trained by yourself and decrease the Merchandise income for players you buy of the TL. Training need to become important again NOW because in about 6+ season we are going to have a player shortage on the TL and then the TL prices will go through the roof and screw the TL again. The TL needs balance where the prices stay the same, not going from 1 season where the prices are high then crashes the next season and then becomes unpredictable the next season.

Focusing on your solution to #2
In Baseball, since I am former pro, I reference it a lot, In baseball... if there is a Rain Delay, or postponement... OTHER games or even a different program ENTIRELY is televised.

So maybe something like, if your game is a WO game... EVERY other team in the league, then splits what would have been your TV money. *edit* unless another team did this, they then are not eligible, and again the split happens.

Also, attendance is refunded to the people to see double header in future kinda thing. Attendence money should be refunded, and since theres no re-scheduling of game, owner eats the costs of refund because of it. Merchandise they can keep.

back then 28 year old SG with 15k salaries were going for 1.2 mil+

for beginners it was hopeless, that's why i don't want to see the TL going up and down like it is.

I think the four teams that gets relegated is a better solution

The problem with this is that it helps none of the lower/weaker teams in improving to beat the top teams. If the top 4 good draft picks get relegated the lower teams have no chance to improve, and the newly promoted team will still get the last pick and be no better than the relegated teams.

The idea of random bottom 6 is help decrease tanking for draft picks, so a 1 in 6 chance is not as attractive as a 1 in 4 chance or with the current system finish last and you know the 1 pick is yours, also it still stop the top team getting early picks.

Tanking for draft picks is no problem, because there is quite a big chance that the number one pick is not worth more than 100-200k, sometimes even less.

Tanking for money is the problem. It seems that you will make more money tanking than training your players and that is just wrong.

Tankers make more money than winners, that's the bigest problem in tanking. #1 no doubt. So why do we let the losers tank? WHY? Cause they want to either

A. Load up with 100+k monsters to stay in the league
B. Get a chance at a great draft pick
C. Get the cash.
D. It's hard for the winners to make cash with their average-star players (by league), thus making them go in red or just making less than 10k a week.
E. To relegate, get the promotion cash+the tank cash.

All those are the problems. We can stop A by moving the deadline. We can kill B by doing the "Draft Lottery" As in the NBA. For example, this year the Bobcats were the worst team in the league. But with the lottery system, Hornets got the top pick. Listen to Maggots' idea and stop B (doing a lottery of the top six picks)
We can stop C by when they lose by 40+ points, take away their arena income. If it comes to where they don't field five guys (push the # of players on the court to 5) it's a WO and KO the TV+arena. There. That'll make em feel bad and hopefully they can feel like D. I praise D because then the top teams in a 40+pt loss get divided by the # of 40 and less losses (what I'm saying is take away arena income for the 40+point loss teams, then add it up. Divide it by the # of teams that DID compete or tried.)
Back to D. Example: 3 Teams loose by 40+ pts, let's say Team A gets 289k from arena. Team B gets 253k. And team C gets 275. Add em up.=817k. Divide that by the # of teams that DID comepte. 817 divided by 13 teams=62.8k I think. (my calculator got too many .########) I know I think this is a D3 based arena income. So 62.8k is still worthwhile in D3. D2 and D1 it's a blessing. D. is eliminated.
Elinminate E. by this; For relegation, take away 20% (1/5) of the cash they have. That should dent them there. E. Is eliminated. Got it everyone?????
