Great post Matt.

Firstly I have to be honest and state that my move for a title came literally in the last week before trade lockout. Only because the teams in my conference allowed me to be in a position that made a title run even possible. I wish I could claim it was all part of my master plan but really it wasn't. I was able to bank good revenue all season, while training my 2 youngsters and managed to only just lose top spot after the final game. Pretty lucky and these opportunities don't come about often. I'm expecting a tough finals series against a manager who's been there and done it all before.

In regards to the DFBS dropping down, in actual fact he will just disappear. One Div II league will be lucky enough to avoid an ABBL relegate and based on previous seasons, this league often is very lucky! Instead there will be an extra Div III team, a Finals runner up, that will get promoted.

Out of all the ABBL relegates I think HA will be the most trouble as he tanked and will be loaded up with the cashola. The other two might have to spend some time rebuilding, before making another run at an ABBL return.

Looking forward to having a new trophy in the cabinet, gold or silver, though gold would be nice. Been a while between drinks for me so hopefully my team stands up to the challenge ahead. Lets get this final series moving already!!!

Ah ok, didn't realise that. Sounds like a better idea, nothing worse than a bot just giving free wins every week.

Yep, would be silly to let a bot continue to drop through the ranks. Better to wipe them clean during off season processing and give some unlucky runner up a consolation prize!

Da Fat Boy was actually my old rival from my previous Div III league. He was runner up the year I promoted, then promoted the following year and managed to reach the ABBL in a season or two (can't remember for sure). Sad to see an old rival go bot after some great battles in the past. Hopefully I can take the spot that he's leaving behind! :-D

It would be nice if we ended up being the league without an ABBL demotee!

it actually happened to us this season! we didnt get an ABBL relegatee, because someone in ABBL (cant remember who) went bot. and we missed out. we got extra Div III promotees for this season as well.

if we miss out two seasons in a row, it would be total luck.

well... not really... 1 in 4 chance again. but would be nice :)

Since I've been here we've avoided the ABBL relegate twice. This season was Smeltztroopers (once upon a time SAStroopers), who actually promoted from this league initially.

Idk about you but I would want to avoid some of the div 3 promotees. Think TeamAkumaa and some more on top of that. These boys are gonna mean business
