The bots actually get pretty good rotation from the players that they use - they might not have very good stamina. If a player does overplay it may be self-correcting; his GS goes one week and he sees a little bit less action the next.
They have 6 extra players (18 original, 12 suit up) plus a couple of seasons of draft picks whose game shape is declining.
The team I checked, all the non-players were down to average, but those who played were in reasonable GS. Of course, they may be exceptional, having already taken down two human teams in D.IV
