Better Shooters: We will be increasing the efficiency of longer-range jump shots

Here I am a bit worried. The modification in itself is good. But outside players
- do already train faster.
- have a higher market value.
- are released much less with free agents (due to the salary threshold).
Hope that altogether the game balance is still preserved!

They train faster? I believe it's more tricky to train guards than forwards. First of all they need all first 6 skills and i believe inside shot as well, but that's personal.

For Forwards/Center you need 4 skills and maybe jumpshot or driving, if you think those are necessary. Rebound trains insanely fast on it's own with other center skills as a sub skill.
Shotblocking, at this point, no one cares about. You'll only have 2 skills that need intensive training, inside shot/D. You can easily pump up a Center by training it on one position.

Guards on the other hand have several skills that you are only allowed to train in categories. IE. Guards, Wingmen... So you are forced to train 2 positions. Sure handling and Driving are trained 1:0.8 ratio but that still leaves guards with JS, JR OD, Passing.

Based on that, i think it's fair to have guards to have a higher market value. That's not the main reason though, i think most people are training Center/PF therefor they need better Guards. The demand for Guards is just higher than the offer.

Do you think this is due to the new forfeit rules? I'ts only end of 1st quarter and scored 67 points

(2242681)

In the end they scored like 200 points to 20. and one of thier players got 10 personal fouls. i mean, ouch, this isnt cool. Really benifeted that team who now leap-frog me on points, and everyone else in the league.

No, the new forfeit policy is meant to correct that.

All changes will only take place after the Allstar game, so now everything is still the same.

That's my brother's team, and it's like the sixth time that's happened to his team. He told me all he did was change his offense to Run & Gun.

It was interesting to watch. The other guy didnt have a single player on his roster. It turned out only to be 25-0 though. I'm sure when the changes go into effect on thurs that we'll see a positive difference.

Under Training/Salaries it is written:

- training pace will be slightly reduced as we slowly bring it back to the long-term value. -

I do not understand exactly what this indicate? Is this something new?
What is this having affect on?

Older than the rest ...

The "other guy" is my brother.

That's the fourth time this has happened to him:

So what do people think slightly reduced is?

Slightly to me doesnt indicate a drop from 2x as fast to 1.5x as fast.. thats not slightly. I would hope it is going to be done in 2-3 stages so maybe still 1.75x or am i being optimistic.

I still dont understand how this change will benefit the game?

It will mean that wages wont grow as fast and therefore allow Div 1 teams to still make hefty weekly profits and not stop Div3/4 teams building squads in a similar way (albeit with lower profitability)

I thought the idea was to cause a divide so that the wages in the top divisions gave proportionate profits to those in lower leagues...

slowing down on the older players is sensible but surely each season we need the 18-20yo being fed as quick as possible

at what age does everyone start to consider replacing trainees? I would imagine that people will be training their favourite trainees up to maybe 24-25 or am i wrong?
