I'd talk to wozz about how to get a database going, and maybe try to get some kind of offsite forum going. Then basically bb-mail everyone since I'm sure there arent that many, get the D1 managers involved. Smaller countries can succeed, though in Europe it will be very difficult.

I was in the same boat as you when I started coaching New Zealand.

Just start threads on the forums about the team, start a thread about training (like announcing their weekly club pops), set up an offsite (can be done later), talk to owners in their league forums, and BB-mail lots of owners asking if they have questions or need help with training/lineups/etc. People will start to stick with the game longer and the userbase will grow. It's quite rewarding. Now I wish I had stayed longer...

Get in! lol, I'm the new Scotland NT Coach, haha. Any tips on how to improve 92nd place in the world with no community involvement? :)

I have to ask...will the Scottish team continue to play in the kilts?

Hello all,

It has been a busy couple of weeks, so I have not had much of a chance to spend time on BB.

I've been around since Season 2, but finally won the playoffs in II.1. I was not particularly happy to be the only new team in the Big 8. My big guys were getting a little old, so I had a bit of a fire sale and I'm back in the market. Looking at staff salaries, am I the only one with an expensive trainer? Did I miss a memo here? Oh, and it is nice to make a profit again~

I enjoy an occasional game summary, so here goes for the opening games:
Big 8
Silverbacks vs. TWSS - Silverbacks finish strong. with a big performance from Polt playing PG. 1-19 from 3 certainly did not help TWSS. Big run by SBs in the 4th with Polt hitting 5 in a row to build a double-digit lead. Lapis got his 48 min at PG for TWSS. Even effort.

AirBallers vs. Nashville - AirBallers built a huge lead early, with a comeback by Nashville in the 4th. AirBallers had a decided advantage on the boards and a nice number of assists for their Look Inside offense. Freaks had solid points per 100 matchups, but AirBallers were productive with their SF and PF. USA start Logsdon only had 6 points in 37 minutes, but was +20 in +/-. Freaks PG Petrakov had the full 48 min at PG. Even effort.

Reston vs. Grubbs - Bit of a surprise for me to get a win out of the blocks. My team build a big lead, then spent the rest of the game giving it away. A key injury to starting SG Brier contributed, but PG Kukesi provided a solid 33 point effort. I Grubbs "I may be 100 years old but not dead yet" provided his steady support with a double double 22 pts/13rebs. I was a bit surprised my team outrebounded the Grubbs, because my team rarely out rebounds anyone~ Reston played with less effort than Grubbs.

ChiTown vs. Bulls - Very close matchup. FTs were key to pushing the Bangers. Bangers had a big rebound advantage that offset the Bulls' PP100 edge in 4/5 slots. The game was tied until 4 minutes to do, where the Bangers had a big push and a huge 3 from Kopola and held on for the win. Even effort.

Great 8
LMA vs. Ambitious - LMA introduced Ambitious to the NBAA with a solid thumping. LMA starters dominated the game and played the whole time, with only subs at C and 1 minute at PG. LMA ran the Princeton to perfection with 33 pts from SF Daveluy. They shot well from 3, making 10 of 31. Ambitious countered with 18 from Ugona in 22 minutes. Even effort.

NYJ vs. Bruins - Solid win for the Jests. Batalla had an efficient 11 of 15 for 25 points. Beefy big man / foul machine Teófilo Lagos and Basil "I'm a young 32" Faust led the inside attack for the Bruins set up by assist machine Louis Flanagan. Big FG advantage to the Jests helped in this one. Jests higher enthusiasm than Bruins.

Funky vs. Goats - OT thriller due to a big 4th from the Fire / collapse from the Goats. Huge 3 from Uribe took it to OT. The game was pretty tight with a few streaks and lead changes. Goats' young SG Lake played 53 minutes at C for 28 points and a sparkling 5.5 rating. Even effort.

Wiggles vs. Wolves - Wiggles get a win in their first NBBA game. This one was tight into the 4th, with a strong finish by the Wiggles. Fouls were key to this game and Filotenkovas was magic at the charity stripe putting away 15-16. Wolves put more into the game.

Moves:
Wiggles picked up old time USA star Cliff Gonzales and sold an old C.
Reston cleared out some old big guy deadwood.
Wolves bought 130k C De la Corte and moved an old SG.
Grubbs recently picked up IG Jr. from the AirBallers.
AirBallers sold a $130k C and picked up a $130k C.
TWSS sold "rent-a-guard" Moscote.
LMA bought USA $190k big man Carlos Vega
Jests got some nice cash for their most recent draft pick.
Goats picked up some cash moving a pair of old players.
Bruins moved SG Levi Stevens.

It appears about 70% of the people who actually read the debates/speeches did too. I appreciate it. Interesting how it wasn't enough. Alas. I'm done worrying about it.
