It's supposed to work like that, but apparently there was a bug for a while which was resulting in the situation you just described.

It is really hard to know what is a good player and what is a bad one. Also it is true that you pay 20% extra for foreign players? I really need to have a good study of my team to work out who is good and who is rubbish.

When you're starting out, fire anyone that doesn't have at least a passable primary skill (any skill except stamina, passing and set pieces). You can upgrade your players as you progress, but that will be sufficient to beat the bots you'll be facing the majority of times in VI.

Yes, you pay 20% extra wages for foreign players, but at the lower levels it barely makes a difference, so don't worry about it.

That is true. When you just start and play against bots, it is worth it to buy some to help you promote.

In the long run, training your own players is cheaper especially with the lower wage bill.

Play to your strengths...the important thing is that you need to figure out which player fits best in which position

ahhk. well i guess i got lucky because he is in VI still, and i did nothing to get to V

@yoda, pretty sure my whole team still sucks. i gotta sort that out. but my mentor is O/S so i am waiting on word of how i should proceed
