Haha, I think there is a happy medium somewhere.
I like to see it, but you've gotta admit, $1m+ salary for a whole season is pretty nuts
Hope it pays off for the fish though (and doesn't bankrupt him ;)). As far as I can tell, its a decent $1m team in that its not built around mono skilled dud bigs, so he will be pretty hard to beat, even for the resident pirate. That in turn should fuel higher attendances, so it might be a pretty wise move if it pays off.
All in all, its good that people have finally started to take up the challenge - ABBL was getting a touch predictable.
I'm interested to see what others do as well - I find it hard to believe that after seasons of tanking and now being apparently loaded, that bryce will be content to sit around 500K salary for the whole season.
