Knecht is right on that one: around 30 yo, sometimes earlier, NBA players start to decline athletically. After that some age better than others depending on their game. People like Gerald Wallace or Josh Smith or even Deng become very useless very quickly once they start to decline physically. People like JJ Redick, Ryan Anderson most playmakers will last longer because their game is more based on skill than athleticism.

Do you want to check what was originally said? One of your guys is 30. A megastar guy at 33 is still going to go for a fair bit.

Sure, there are a few, but just a few. Yes, the TL is more expensive than it used to be. That's going to happen.

It still doesn't change anything about the original point of the post. Players who can manage to build assets while still stay competitive should be rewarded not punished. Or should we have a socialist / communist game?

Good points. Very good points.

So I guess I have found the reason for keeping the funds cap and the new fan system. I really like the new fan system. It is so much more realistic. I also hate it because I'm going through a tanking process.... Haha!

There's no solution is there? Apart from scrapping nations entirely, and possibly having virtual nations, randomly selected.

I agree with you. Aussie slang for a "fair bit" means that it's a lot. I guess in this player's case he was exceptional. We won't know unless he goes back on the TL or we ask the owner. I don't see many that age going for that much, though.

But you're right. The prices are super high. And they are super high for everyone, so everyone has that challenge, which makes it fair.

Except for what old mate said about the differing sizes in nations. That makes it unfair for sure.

There is one 33yo player at 4.6 million right now with fewer than 130 TSP use that as a comparison.

Hakkinen had 156 TSP (or more) and sold for 4.3 million when he had just turned 31, 8 seasons ago (Utopia already existed). At 35 he sold for 5 million.
