Am I mistaken or are we already qualified for the second round?


We are, but that's not the goal with our schedule and home advantage. Especially after beating Malaysia. Goal is to finish 1st which not a done deal. We should edge New Zealand as we are at home and enthusiasm are similar. However Japan is on par with us and may still fight for first place. We aim for first, but may still finish 4th.


Yes, that's what I thought. But still, it's very nice to see you at the top of the standings. And I wouldn't object if you just stayed there ;)

Home advantage, better team, better enthusiasm. All in our favor, apart New Zealand wasting some enthusiasm on us.

The first place is within reach.

To finish ahead of us, Japan has to beat us by 38 points next week. Honestly, quite unlikely. Malaysia has an easier path, if we lose by some margin, as they have a good chance to blow out New Zealand next week, and is only 55 points behind us.

Good hope that Japan doesn't try too hard to beat us and save some enthusiasm for the second round. Their chances to overcome us and Malaysia are slim while they are 99.9% sure to stay 3rd.


I sure hope they look at the situation as you do. It really is unlikely that they'll beat us by 38 even if they were playing CT and you TIE. Easiest way to stay ahead of everyone is just to continue winning, Perpete. We count on you ;)

Contrats on the win. Even though both korean teams weren't very creative on the offensive side. Both playing PtB ... who suggested to whom that you both play those tactics (and win both games?)

I suggested we play Base Offense and lose our games. Statsman disagreed.


Well, it might have been a bit more dramatic if you had lost that game and then somehow managed to grab the #1 spot in the upcoming game despite all odds ... but I can figure that statsman disagreed as he already lost a couple of games in order to make his run look more dramatic. And also now it'll look like it's really easy to stay unbeaten during a whole season. Great thinking on statsmans part.
