well i'll agree with that somewhat because DFBS and Maior are both still in Div III and they both deserve to be in Div II and you're right that a good Div III team should be able to beat a weak Div II team. Though in saying that it won't take long & that much effort for a Div II team to get better compared to a Div III team.

Look @ DFBS he will be breaking up the twin towers (bjorn & Duff-Man) because he can't afford to keep them both, he wouldn't have that problem if he were in Div II.

oh yeh, you're right you guys wont dominate cos XBB never backs down on a challenge!!! haahahah

I also think JW is right but there are a couple of extra factors. You guys saw the division III survey I did, there are easy divisions where a 100k team can take you to the finals, then there are ones like DFBS and Vis are in where it is brutal. Just because you make it to division II doesn't mean you have a strong team or are a great coach.

It is better to be lucky than good.

We have been predicting how teams will go and on paper we look much stronger than the XBB however first not all teams are guaranteed to win their playoff series, second up to 4 teams have already indicated that they will be have a "rebuilding" season next season and may be a lot weaker than this season. You already know about Iwen and Naker, but there are possibly two more. You take a team which should be up the top like Naker and put him down the bottom with PossumPete and it changes things a lot.

Being in division II is clearly better, but just because you are doesn't mean you have to have a better team than a division III team.

With regard to enthusiasm I saw a LOT more crunch times in division II than I ever did in division III. I got crunched about every two weeks in division II, you can manage your enthusiasm but there is a lot more pressure.

As for stopping the growth of your team, if SAS was still in division III next season it would be Smeltz and 4 lucky fans.

that reminds me, when will the latest ranking comparisons be conducted? would be interesting to see where the Australian Rankings lineup now between the Sharks & Calamari's, I think most teams would be under top 150 now and everyone except Possum in IV7 to be Top 50 hahaahah

Yeah I use strange tactics to try and make my team better like tanking etc and I feel that is why my ranking is so low.
Also I drew Iwen in the second week of the cup so threw that game away and it also meant my rankings didn't increase much because the cup is very important for rankings. Then I tanked the first half of my season in div 2, and so I was losing games by 50 points or more, and so that really hurt my ranking. But then I bought a team and won about 10 out of 11 games for the rest of the season and got to 4th place, and then decided to tank again so that hurt my rating again. Now I am not even close to 100 lol.

You are 107, well I was 108 for most of the season despite winning almost every single league game by 30 points. Well I am back to 86 now but still well short of 77 where my much weaker team was last season.

Darn Koop, he distracted me so much that I forgot to bid. I lost out on a great player that went for a bargain price - a triple prominent big man doh. Right off for a bike ride and lunch.
