So which is more desirable, 4th or 5th place finish?

8th is the best. especially with the lunar new year around the corner.

By the way, shikago, is there a benefit to keeping 24 players on the roster? Is it a statement you are making? Just wondering?

For 4th vs 5th you have to look at the $$ calculation.

In 4th, you get 1/3 of the playoff game revenue
In 5th, you do not get any revenue

However,
In 4th, you pay your weekly salaries and have a chance to advance in the playoffs
In 5th, you do not have a "competitive game" and therefore do not pay salaries

So, if 1/3 of the playoff game revenue > weekly salaries, you are better off at 4th...
For the NBBA, most of the time 5th is probably better.

I figure draft position is a wash.

You're forgetting the fan survey.

By having a player for every hour in the day, I'm attempting to highlight social & economic injustice across the globe -- from Burma (Myanmar) to Somalia -- as well as to illustrate myriad other issues, such as the role of media & its contribution to eating disorders in teenage girls.

This would be more effective if you were paying those players more than minimum wage.

Quite the opposite. The wild salary discrepancies are intended to be a mirror of society as a whole & draw attention to the plight of the working poor & elderly. Sure, some would argue whether this is ethical. But in the words of Hilary Duff "The end justifies the means."

I found a loophole where the #4 seed doesn't have to pay player salaries either -- auction each player at a dollar before tomorrow.

Both #1 seeds clinched today (though ww had been a foregone conclusion for a while). Congrats! You guys must be the most recently formed pair of #1 seeds!

Thanks! It was a fun and exciting season sprinting for my life as you chased me with your bow and arrows! I'm afraid my team is running into a dead end though. Hopefully I can scape up enough cash after our game to upgrade my SG position.

wow, what a finish!
thought you had it for sure with 13 secs left.

thinking it was over... was seriously about to go off on my coach, lol. first sitting my best player the final 5 minutes (& only playing 36 min total). then bringing in Rabbani of all people for defense!?! & what happens? he gives up the go ahead basket as expected (!) it's like he said, "here. score. we don't want the lead. just take it." -_-

even though i picked you to win... man, i have to be honest. would have hated for it to end that way after leading almost all game. (losing to you in a blow out i'd be ok with... but that... not so much)

Congrats on the big win! Normally I pull out the close wins in these cup runs, but it wasn't to be tonight.

Good luck in the finals!
