I would appreciate people's thoughts on my new rookie.

I am going to 1 position train this whole season with lev4 trainer (will save up for lev 5 half way through season hopefully) except for 1on1 for maybe a couple of weeks, and stamina. He already has 48+ mins this week (thanks to that scrim with the Kynlala Knights, iwen) for rebounding - so I am hoping for a pop before the season starts! :) U21 potential?

That's a tough one. Your only problem is that the atrocious/pitifuls are in really bad spots.

With Atrocious OD/Handling and Pitiful JS, you'd have to work really hard to make him anything more than a C but his height doesn't really help with quick big man training unfortunately.
I guess if you gave him a little OD training just to get it off the floor and some focused JS training at some point then he could be a decent PF as well.

Similar thoughts with Direwolf, definitely given his height he would make a better PF than C since you won't receive the same training speed as the 7 footers.

That would mean you would need to spend at least one season trying to get jump shot, outside defence and handling to around about inept/medicore level for him to be a good PF.

Of course, that's up to you however if you just purely train him as a C then I would give him about a moderate chance of making the future U21 squad. This will really depend on how much talented big men we will have available to pick from.

Well, we've been drawn in probably the toughest repacharge group, against two top ten ranked teams in France and Chile, alongside Tounes.

I think we've pulled the 'group of death' here.

Anyway, will be tough to make it to the world cup, but with a little bit of luck hopefully we can do it.

First game is tomorrow night.

After a good solid win against Chile (with the Nguyens, especially Tan, staring) we continue our campaign against the #1 ranked France tonight.

Yet another tough game for us, but hopefully we get a bit of luck

Howdy

Just thought I'd get thoughts on the below player I drafted this season and find out if it's worth training for the u21 team and if so, what level he needs to get to. I realise that his passing is prob going to hurt his chances and may take some time to build up.

Small Forward
Age 18
Superstar potential
6"5 196cm

JS Respectable JR Average
OD Average HD Respectable
DV Mediocre PS Atrocious
IS Respectable ID Inept
RB Respectable SB Pitiful
ST Mediocre FT Respectable

Exp Pitiful

I think he could be made in to a nice small forward.
I would 1 position train him in passing for this whole season.
Then see what his skills are at that time.

If you don't want to do that, then I would train all his other skills that are on respectable until they are on strong and then sell him.
