I disagree which virtually everything Mr Glass has said but there is a valid point there (even if its slightly off topic) which is that it really would be great to see some more unconventional trainees builds out there but its our own fault as a community for massively overvaluing LI at all levels in my opinion.

On the subject of training vs daytrading, I think that the imbalance between teams that train and teams that buy and sell would be better resolved with a change to merchandising

A larger reward for homegrown and home drafted players regularly getting minutes for a team like mine would be massive and offset some of the pain that is building a team from scratch

Although I also get that the new taxes have done a lot to deter actual 'daytrading', BB still seems to slightly favour those who buy and sell rather train themselves

Are you mistaking posts by BB-Marin for me? Cause there are some things in your post that I never have said. But that Marin did say in the ask a BB day thread.

Possibly so. Sorry.

"A larger reward for homegrown and home drafted players regularly getting minutes for a team like mine would be massive and offset some of the pain that is building a team from scratch"

^^ Bb already does that. what good will it do to increase these. that's the problem rewarding someone for something that a natural factor element in the game we call BB.

It not our fault, because we didn't create the game, we had no in saying the tactics to start nor the power of them to start.. All we can do is increase the power of the players to perform the tactics. training is the bread an butter in that.

My whole thing iis we can put a player down with all 7's then another with all 8's... which is the better Li/lp player? That not tactical team building at all, that market building.. every player need a certain amount of skill to be effective in each tactic. I cant go out and buy 8 players all 10's and say look I have a balanced Motion team.

Because the center don't need all tens.. maybe need all 6's and in 3 skill slots a 10.. But none will know what they are looking at because these player are not labeled in the market. all team are building is market players or Li. why ?because it sells.

If anybody understands Mr. Glass’ attempt to distinguish between taxing players and taxing managers, please enlighten us all. There may be something useful there, but for the life of me I can’t make it out~

Its pretty simple to understand. we spend in the market , so why keep taking money away from what keeping the market afloat with a tax. When they do that you have to recoup that money spent. there's inflation in the market.. which is more money for good or bad player. . A lot thing don't need bidding cost like trainers.

Tax the market if a manager has sold 75 player in half a season. Make the market charge him more every week of the season not per player but every week of the season. If come back and sells 75 more the second half. tax the market in player inflation sales the market has to adjust to much selling coming from one point. Those who sell less players will get more market value per sale than those who sell a lot. keep record of manager who selling so many players. tax the market for everybody, training for exempt is abusing the market.

Unique player should be worth more than common. Say for example a Princeton player would be worth more than a Li player because Li is more common. That not the case for what you get with a Unique player all he is worth is peanuts in the market.

We all know LI is overpowered but if people trained more players for different tactics, rather than just LI players, it would make other tactics more powerful because, as you say, teams could buy players more suited to motion, princeton etc.. Marin has said something along those kind of lines too.

You make some valid points but a lot of say what you say is bordering on Trainerman territory (sorry Trainerman) and its difficult to have a discussion with somebody who is just posting lengthy polemics.
