Isn't the alternative run-away inflation? I hardly think that's good for the game.

I'm sure the BB will ease the tax rate as the salaries at top level clubs increase.

Unbelievable for me, you're in first division and I've now to pay 238k/week in second division, sorry dude :)

That proves your second division is better than our first. ;)
Everybody is saying that Div I STH makes up for the difference, but our attendance is similar which means you earn more because I pay higher taxes being in Div I. The fact that your arena maxed out (You really need more seats), means you could go potentially higher than me. Raking in even more cash.

Let me do the match for you with my salaries at 200k :

Income
Match revenue - 180k
TV Contract - 35k
Merchandise - 45k

Total - 260k

Expenditure
Salaries - 200k
Staff - 53k
Scouting costs - 20k

Total - 273k

Net Profit/Loss - (13k)

I'm not questioning the objective of the changes. Just the way it is being implemented to achieve the objective. There has to be a better way to do this. If you country has inflation problems stemming from a small rich community, there has to be a better way of doing it than slashing everyone's income by 40%.

Beh,if you want he best stuff and best scouting costs and top salaries players in your teams it isn't impossible to lost money...but you must to have the ability to cut useless costs...if you are in top positions of your championship,why do you spend so much for scouting costs?

You pay more taxes but you earn around 30k more than me so at the end your economy is more green than mine
You pay more about staff and about scouts but it's your choice to pay or not these "extras". In any case if you lose 13k/week I think is not a tragedy. Let me say that you've also to include in the green the income coming from your cup that you forgot to write here ;)

thats right, i said that before too even if i was in a top devision ;)

@thread opener:
I think the 40% is possible to catch up, and i'll probadly earn more then a team from division 3 or a top team of div 2(very slightly maybe the winning series will turn that comparision in league 2). And even when it was impossible for you, the competition for you doesn't changed all your "enemies had to fight against those 40% malus which will be reduced the next season.

I do not have the best stuff. I do not have the best scouting cost, that is double my current investment. I do not have a 'top salary player' for my division. This season, I will struggle to break into the top 4 hence the bigger investment. I will no longer answer questions pertaining to my team management. These questions can be answered with some analysis andsome long term planning to the objective I am trying to achieve. I believe you are still relatively new, but have a right to raise your questions to me in regards to my team. Your liberal use of the word 'useless' suggests you do not yet see things as I see them. Perhaps you will find the answers after a season or two of experience.

Dear ned,

For a Div I team, even a marginal profit of 10-30k per week is a wafer thin margin. Especially for the smaller fish swimming in the small ponds. I brought up this issue to highlight the impact of the changes to smaler teams, not seek assistance for my team's finanacial management. I will appreciate it if everyone could just keep on topic.

Dear Crazyeye,

I get your point. Everyone, including my opponents, are hit with the same -40% malus. I know they are finding it hard to stay in the green too, this affects all of us in this little league. I'm saying there is a better way to keep inflation in check than hit all Div I leagues regardless of country size and skill level with that big hammer.

And what's the problem,therefore?This economic situation is provisional,in two season it will change...players union will not earn the 40% of your arena incomes,so you have money for your expenses...
And scouting costs if your team is on the top in tuor country is a little bit useless,because with an high choice in the draft you must to be lucky to take a good player....

If you're counting scouting costs as an expenditure, then you have to count the income from selling drafted players as income.

Income from drafted players was a zero. Last seasons draft for some reason was the worst one of all. I knew I drafted a 5 star PG, only to see his salary under 3k. Surprising to say the least.

@Coco,
The fact that you've already dismissed this thread as 'pointless' indicates there is no room for discussion and you have already drawn your conclusions. So I guess further points would be....pointless.
